1) Provide (necessities like food, water and shelter)
2) Discipline (you are the parent and responsible for how the child will grow into an adult, it is necessary to know that if you love your child, you can't be their friend, you need to be their parent)
3) Teach (there is a multitude of things outside of school that only you can teach your child about life
4) Sacrifice (you are a parent now, your child's life comes before yours in all matters except when it comes to the child's wants vs. your needs)

Love is made up of these 4 and more. Because of that, I didn't list it. If you didn't already possess love, you wouldn't have asked this question.

1. Love them & teach them to love & respect others.
2. Teach them and learn from them.
3. Give them both freedom and limitations. Keep a good balance between the two.
4. Have fun in everything you do together.

These come after the basics of feeding, clothing etc.

1. Guiding them in the right direction w/o makeing the decisions for them.

2. Teaching your children how to respect by earning their respect.

3. Helping them to figure out what it is that they want to be (as a person)

4. Keeping them safe from harm

with me and my son its this:

1. Making sure he is healthy, clean hands, clean cut hair, clothes, etc.

2. making sure that he is learning on the right level for his age, education is the key to a good living.

3 making him smile and seeing him happy, laughing & making sure that he isnt in pain unnecessarily

4 that he learns to respect others, learn to love and be loved, to be a good friend

If you are somewhat religious, I think the bible explains

parenting pretty well. In one verse, it says children are a

gift from God. My top four would be love, nurture, teach,

and respect.
