YES... without doubt...
Margaret Thatcher may have been disliked by many people, especially the miners, but she always fought for our country and she would not have stood for the sh*t that Tony Blair heaps on us. She would have had a much firmer hand on Immigration and there would have been no way she would have let that 'human rights' bill pass. The country was well on the road to recovery before Blair took over and he took credit for everything. Labour supporters are so blind they forget to see that.
To the lady who said Labour would not allow children to suffer poverty... get real and take those rose coloured specs off. We are now more heavily taxed on everything than at any time in history... we are taxed upon tax upon tax and then some. We pay tax on clothing, books, food, why we are even taxed on our savings !!
The sooner this lot of Scumbags are out the better.
God bless Maggie, I wish she was still in power...

I actually think she was amazing, however I also think with these great leaders they are not the puppet masters but just the puppets. One of the things I don't and didn't like at the time was loss of the unions power. And that's because I think they held back the control by state. Because of her the small man no longer has a voice. And that made it easier to take away our freedom to demonstrate against tyranny. People have been having parties to celebrate her death!!!!! I just think that shows how awful society is becoming. These people who have been whipped up by the manipulation of social networking sites like brainless automatons. Margaret Thatcher had good and bad. But the truth is that she was an amazing clever and brave woman.

Margaret Thatcher was all for Britain, oh how we need that now. She would never have let our country get into the mess that it is in with no chance of
recovery. Our nation is ruined, doomed & the lady must be turning in her grave. Labor always leaves Britain in a mess that the Tories have to try to turn around. Thank the Lord that the British public have given them the chance to finish the job successfully.

I wasn't a Thatcherite but I believe she would have kept our borders closed and not allowed this mass immigration that is hitting this country. Matt67 she did not leave the country on it's knees it was in a better financial position when she was in power. British companies were very largely in British hands and therefore the economy was more buoyant. Now they are mainly foreign owned and we are paying the highest prices in Europe for our commodities. As for multiculturism as a friend of mine of Indian origin said it was never a problem we just got on with one and another - you had a few idiots but they could be ignored. Now East Europeans are getting houses over the heads of native Brits, some of whom in this area have been on the waiting list for years. It's anomalies like this that need to be addressed.

I have no doubt Maggie Thatcher would handle things differently she was after all one of the most ruthless politicians of the past century "remember the Belgrano and the coal strike "but many people forget that Britain was economically on its knees when she was kicked out and without the "multicultural mess"England today would be in a sorry state.

With Margaret there would be no need for intergration as she wouldn't of allowed it to get this far. She would of put a stop to so much of the nonsence that is going on now. As for scarves across the face she would of had none of it....."When in Rome" would of come into play. We need another Margaret quickly, before the English in England become the asylum seeker

If you read Enoch Powells "Rivers Of Blood" speech do you think maybe he'd do a better job?he got ousted from the government because of this speech yet he didnt promote racism or anything within the speech. Now the National Front use his picture on posters...often classed as the greatest prime minister we never had. Also classed as a Thatcherite before Thatcher.
(I've been doing research into this for an assignment at uni "Two Tones effect on a backward thinking society or One Step forward two steps back) as you can see its all about the history of the Two tone label

What is wrong with you people? Do you have no understanding of British political history? And why is they a load of Americans in here saying they love Maggie? And because you "love the way she handled the Falklands". **** off. I don't come over to questions about Nixon and go on about how I love the way he handled Vietnam.

Although Thatcher may have restricted immigration, this would have led to more problems that it solved.
A lot of hard working immigrants came here to do the jobs that the bone-idle, indigenous, underclass refuse to.
What would you rather have when you get a water leak - a Polish plumber, or no plumber at all?
