Iraq is not gonna be another Vietnam. The U.S government is now changing the course and strategies.

As of Friday we've had 2,863 soldiers die in the war in Iraq. The war started March 19, 2003, so it's been going on for a little more than 3 and a half years. That's less than 1000 soldiers dying per year. In 1990 New York City had 2245 murders, should we have pulled out of New York City?

Because of the war in Iraq, we haven't been attacked since 9-11. I'd rather have our trained, equipted, volunteer military fight the terrorist in Iraq than have our civilians get slaughtered by them here in America.

Its nothing like Vietnam.

not adequate?????????? i think of it relatively is greater beneficial than adequate .. on suitable of which you have as many as a hundred and fifty,000 usually civilian Iraqi deaths.. and specific as many as 3 hundred,000 Iraqi casualties, who's lives would be decrease short and depressing.. united states of america has sustained 3,000 atypical deaths now and likewise 15,000 injured squaddies.. that's variety of 10% of the entire troops sent over at the instant are ineffective or heavily injured! What are you waitng for?? to have 0.5 of Iraqi civilian inhabitants ineffective or injured.. and nil.5 people troops ineffective or injured.. to finally positioned an end ot this ridiculous conflict??? Geez.. at this fee.. you ought to have left Saddam there and only enable him execute some people a week .. Iraqis could have been greater valuable off!!

We are already facing another Vietnam. And each person killed over there...military or civilian...is too much and that is why we should be out of there...should have never gone.
In truth the people of Iraq were better off even under Sadam. He may have had the fear of God in them but that is the only way to keep the people of the regions in line.
They had power, food, medical care and peace. They didnt have to fear where the next bomb was coming from. Sadam was a tyrant but then we have Bush....Rush in without thinking. Bush went into a country and totally destroyed the entire country killing more people and causing more injuries than Sadam did his entire reign.

Technically Nixon got an honorable agreement before you cut and ran from the roof tops of Saigon; sadly, as then, your government (backed by the majority) has put you in that same position again.

No....this is nothing like Vietnam. If we do not finish the job right here and now, the terrorists WILL come after us again, you can bet your life on it. In Vietnam, they were just glad we left.....Another thing, when the terrorists do cause more deaths here on U. S. soil it will be you same people whining about why the gov't didn't do enough to protect us......it makes me sick!

So then by this reasoning, we should never go to war regardless of what happens to Americans. The price is just to high. Is this the insanity I am getting from this question?

Appearently you don't understand what terrorists want.

They bombed trains in Spain to alter their elections and position. Terrorists win.

If we cut and run, terrorists will be emboldend to beleive that with enough violence, they can influence the world to do what they want.

If you still want peace, move to France, but I won't be coming there again to make sure you don't speak german (or whoever comes take down your peace flag).

More died in six months in Vietnam than we have had in four years of Iraq. I'd say no.
