Yes i don't care if everything goes away and everything i saved goes away.

Maybe you guys on this section are smarter then the people in the computer section!!

I didn't get anything like disk's or paper work when i got my computer...i called them and they said they would send me some but i never got anything.

I was told i could just use Ctrl and like F1 or something like that..and it would bring everything back like it was when i bought it!

ok if u have a XP
then go in start then start run command then type
"msconfig" then press enter ok
then one window will apear then start system restore
then restore it to an early good time
ur some date saved will remain there
it would automatically restart
dont worry its done now

Its easy. You have recovery CDs. Go to Restore Factory Settings. The rest is simple. Just follow instructions. And the earlier answers are really helpful, accurate and informative.

Actually, setting the computer back in time may or may not work. If it does not, use the recovery CD that came with your computer and reinstall the operating system.

Do you can do a fresh install of your operating system ... but, backup all your important stuff on a hard drive ... when you do commence your fresh install ... partition your hard drive making your operating hard drive "C:" like 10 GB and the rest as "usable space" ... so when you have to install your operating system again, you won't have to back up anything ... when you partition your HD during your fresh install ... make sure that you partition them as NTFS ... NOT FAT32 ... take it from me ... I do this for a living.

Turn your computer off. Wait about 30 seconds, restart it and do a system restore.

get the orginal disks and do a restore --- that will bring everything back to the way it was when you opened the box

quickest and easiest - reformat the hard drive - cleans the reegistry up good too. reinstall windows and life is good.
