Be very careful. Even a grey import should cost considerably more than $500. It might be $40 cheaper, but not $300!!
Perhaps it's an XT (the model before the XTi)
Perhaps it's a scam. Check the store here:

Go to the tab Store Ratings, and type in their name in the orange box.
If it's all legit, you've found yourself an incredible deal. The are 3 things to consider with a European model:
* You won't get a warranty
* You might have to buy a $5 converter for the battery charger (at any large electronics shop).
* You might have to look around for an English instruction manual.

The only issue you will have is with warranty repair/service. An European camera can only be serviced under warranty in Europe (and vice-verse) -- this is true for all camera manufacturers (not just canon).

If the price difference is so significant maybe it is worth it.

in case you utilize a uk charger to fee the cameramenn there could be no difficulty and if it makes use of the AA sort batteries that are ordinary now you're ok, yet i might verify to work out in the event that they grant a a hundred and ten-250 volt charger with the digicam that way you ought to use it any the place you desire.

I bought a Canon camera in the UK and can use it here in Canada. There are no issues with it at all, same cables and such.
