Once I just walked in and went to the restroom. When I came out the bored angry teenage burger flippers were all glaring at me and one of them threatened to call the police. "Go right ahead," I said, and left. Nothing happened.
This is not like robbery or assault - no police officer is going to waste time chasing after you for using a bathroom. Normally I try to follow the rules and would buy something if I could but if you really have to go and have no money, people should be understanding of that.

A solution to the people that dont want to buy anything. People do this all the time at my work. Just go down the isles lookin around, and grab a common item like a candy bar, or soda or wahtever, walk up to the counter and sit it down to the side out of the way and tell the clerk your just going to use the bathroom real fast. When exiting the restroom try not to make eye contact with the clerk and if they question you, just say your going out to your car to get money.

I'd go in, use the restroom, and then look around for a couple of minutes and look at all the stuff and then leave. If I see something I need I'll get it. Or I'd just walk in, use the restroom and walk out and see if anyone stops me.

That happened before to me, my daughter who was 5 had to go to the bathroom bad, and asked the clerk if she could use the bathroom. And they refused. I never, ever, ever will return to that store, never. I thought that animal was heartless, rude and I believe racist. Because I am a fair skinned Hispanic women. The store associates where all black. And believe me black people are just as guilty of racism as other races. Anyway I was forced to take my child to an alley way or have her pee on herself. But usually if that happens I will buy something very cheap, but some people are kind and can be talked into allowing you to use their bathroom. Another thing that bothers me is when and if you use the bathroom it is usually filthy what the hell was all the fuss. Really.

With a name like "Infamous" this shouldn't be a problem for you.
I would think that a person who has a reputation for infamy would just walk in,whip out his mule, and make a puddle right there in front of the patrons.
Or you could just do what I do.....march right to the bathroom (ignoring the protests of the staff) and take care of business in a dignified manner.

This happened me once.
I really needed to go and the woman in the hotel was a right cow.
She said that until I bought something I couldn't use the..facilities.
Well at this stage I despised her so much I didn't want to buy anything as she would just benefit financially.
In the end I said ( loudly)
"If you wont let me use the toilet then I'll go right here as I can't hold it any longer " and I started to undo my belt.
She wasn't long getting out of the way and I got a round of applause !!!!!

If the bathroom is in the back and noone will notice, I just sneak in. Otherwise buy a small item (like from the value menu).

Just go and use the toilet and if anyone stopped me on the way out, it would be too late. I'd either say "thank you" or say I was about to buy something after visiting the toilet, but didn't like the person's attitude. When you need to go, don't let anyone stand your way.

In New Orleans...this is commonplace....and for good reason as you can imagine. I buy a coke....and then use the restroom. No biggie. It's only a buck or so, and I could probably use the hydration anyway.

Please don't ask the employees for an exception to the store's rule. They don't create the rule, but they are expected to enforce it. People do that all the time at my work and I have to apologize and say "No". Do I want the boss to yell at me? If I'm the customer somewhere and that's their posted rule, then I buy something and become a customer.
