After being neutered it will take 30 days for all the hormones to subside and before you will see any difference. It won't be durastic or anything. After being fixed tomcats usually just become less agressive and possibly more affectionate depending on the cat. If he's an outdoor cat, he will probably wander less because he no longer will have the instinct to look for mates. Your tomcat will not suddenly become a scaredy cat or anything. Just not as dominant.

He will be calmer, less agressive, and probably become more loving. A stray wandered into my parents' house last year, and they took a while to tame him before getting him neutered. Before he was neutered they couldn't let him in the house because he would pick fights with their other two male cats. Now that he's been spayed he's the biggest baby you've ever seen in your life and wants to be held and petted all the time.

None of mine changed their personalities with being spayed or neutered. In fact, it is usually the opposite. They change their personalities from their lovely kitteny behaviours when they become unaltered adults. Neutering them helps to prevent them from developing the mature reproductive traits that do alter personalities - aggressiveness, territoriality, desire to mate, etc., and virtually ensures that given the same supportive and nurturing environment they have always known, they will remain the same loving, adorable and friendly cats.

Typically when a Tom is neutered they will get more 'lovey'. Expect him to become more of a cuddlier too. Also his body will fill out - He'll probably become a little more husky, not fat just filled out.

It should do nothing to his overall personality other than keep him from spraying all over. He also will probably not wander as much either and it makes for a healthier cat over all

Usually nothing. Both of mine are neutered and they are both just as sweet, playful and loving as they were before.
