it is not a matter of him not answering ...it is a matter of you not hearing him answer you. First things first (and this is not to imply you are not a christian) We have to have a relationship with him to hear him
2nd You have to know his word to hear and know it is him
3rd you once you know his word then you have to know there are several ways he speaks
4th When God speaks ...he speaks to your mind (mostly) so your mind needs to be free and clear to hear his voice
5th there are 3 voices for you to hear:
1-you, i'm hungry ,thirsty tired so on and so on
2 the devil, he is a deceiver a liar ..and when he speaks he brings about confusion. and doubt. He tries to use situations to tempt you..and some of which may seem good..but the end of it is destruction.
3 God ..when he speaks I told you you must know his word because that is generally how he speaks
2 Timothy 3:16 says All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:
Gods word was even before the world was created and he will not change it and neither can man. when he speaks it is along the lines of his word. He can correct you reprove you instruct you. and what he tells you ...you can write a book from it to help others ..
typically the devil will try to use Gods word but when he does it is usually out of context and it will lead you to error(sin)
God will simply be direct and to the point.. it will not contradict the written word or current leadership...that would be contrary to the word..you see ...it might be you may have to ask God to sharpen your hearing...and you may need to read his word more ..so when he does answer... you know it was him who spoke..God bless

God hears your question, but sometimes we don't understand or can't see the answers. Sometimes the answer is no. Just try to get closer to God, as He becomes closer to Him maybe you will understand His answers more. Ask Him to reveal His answers to you.

There's an answer. We just tend not to perceive it as such.

Like, we pray that something good will happen in such a situation, and one week after we prayed it does, and we never see the connection just because a week passed in between.

Pray for God to give you the strength to fix the problem, not just for God to fix it for you.

Are you listening? Truly listening? You can't expect something very abrupt, obvious, and right away. It may be something small, subtle and later. Besides, God wants us to chose for ourselves. The best thing to do is make a decision you think is best. Then ask is this the right one? Then listen, really listen. It's not easy (neither is life), but very possible to get an answer. It may not be the answer you want (I've had those, ugh), but it's still right.

Don`t take God for granted, Don`t make Him like your slave or magician or a human teacher or a consultant.

Do you have a friend whom you want to be your best friend? for what reason? What did you do or how did you make yourself get closer to him or make him get closer to you. (if you get successful in making yourself and your friend get very close to your satisfaction...then plan the same to God)

Making God your closest of friend, can give so much advantages:
-He is the supreme creator: of the world, human, beautiful things & everything, and heaven.
-He is the most loving, helpful, peaceful, understanding, interesting being, alive in this world.
-He is available 24 hrs a day, always listening, do anything you want (can do magic/miracle) in a second, & can protect you from anything harmful without you asking it because he can see your hearts desire, and devil`s plan, intentions, ulterior motives, vested interests, cheaters who is targeting you, etc.etc.etc.
- and many more...

Do you have any human friend who can do these things to you ?
If you can be successful in making God your best friend...talking, listening, communicating, or establishing good relationship with Him will become very easy...and would allow you... to hear Him well (what he`s telling you.)

How to get close to Him?...
By calling Him every seconds of your life, tell Him your laughter, sadness, plans, frustrations, disappointment, success, your projects, best friends, classmates, object of affections, etc.etc.

Do you agree with me ???
How about starting now, later, tonight...okay ???
Good luck!!! and Be blessed!!!

Have you asked your questions of the living God?

That is, have you been active in your search for God, or have you been passively sitting around, vaguely wanting him to hear your questions, and awaiting his answers although you haven't directed your questions directly to him, after acknowledging who he is?

Generally, God will wait for you to acknowledge and speak TO him, not just within his earshot.

The Bible says be still & know that I am God, You are too busy asking questions, that you can not see an answer.

GOD answers prayers not questions

2006-11-21 11:25:39 · answer #9 · answered by venkram_99 2 · 1 0

Christians will tell you god answers every prayer. But he can say things besides "yes". He can say "no" and "not right now."

Oddly enough, those are the same 3 answers my computer hard drive gives when I pray to it! God and my hard drive seem to have the exact same prayer-granting capabilities.

He hears them. He's given you free will to make your own decisions and that is an answer in itself.
