I dont need to word it differently what i am asking is exatly what i have wrote, i think if Pacquiao was American we wouldnt have anybody going on about Mayweather but because he is from the Phillippines he isnt getting the credit he deserves from Americans.

Brad - I cant understand what you are talking about surely you can have blemishes on your record but improve to a point where you are better than anyone else at a certain time. I can think of a few fighters that you class as greats but have many blemishes on their record, PBF will have a few of these blemishes himself soon.

I understand what everyone is saying about Manny being a bit one-dimensional and that Floyd is a more well-rounded boxer but surely it has got to be about more than just this, what about putting it on the line against the best there is in your weight division as Manny does, you cant say Floyd has cleaned out the Welters because i could name 5 better Welters that are better than the last 3 he has fought, in fact the only 3 fighters i would give Floyd respect for beating would be Castillo, Corrales and Chavez, i wouldnt say his record is padded but i think he should of fought better competition than he has to become known as the best p4p because the competition is out there.
And if the only criteria for being the best out there is being unbeaten does this make Valuev the best p4p out there ? of course it doesnt.

Let's look at their careers extensively...
Floyd really seems invincible with his boxing skills. Add to the fact that he had not suffered a loss. The closest fight he had was against Castillo, a great fighter in his own right. But a rematch with Castillo made clear that Mayweather is a much better boxer. Prettyboy had easily beaten very strong competition (Manfredy, Castillo, Gatti, Judah, Baldomir, Ndou, Corrales) mostly via landslide decisions but at his current weight, he lacks the KO power the fans want to watch. If you come to think about it, his opponents although very good pugilists in their own way, with all due respect, I wouldn't consider them "great" fighters yet. None of Floyd's opponents are that legendary. There are still many fighters (Hatton, Margarito, Cotto, De la Hoya, Mosely) left that will make you doubt Floyd could handle. Some of these fighters are quite inexperienced yet but very talented and capable. A couple is also undefeated! I know many would argue the point but many would also agree. Floyd needs a couple of VERY BIG names and still a couple of undefeated fighters to cement his #1 P4P status! He needs to erase all doubts! He needs to fight and defeat opponents he "allegedly" tries to avoid! He needs a little KO punch for fight fans! I respect Floyd's boxing skills, hey, I'm even trying emulate his defensive style... but in my opinion, he needs to be a little risky. He needs let his hands go a little and try to finish off his opponents even if it means some openings on his defense! Majority of fight fans wants that.
Manny Pacquiao is a sudden storm in the world of boxing. Before he dismantled Barrera, nobody knows who he was. Everyone thought he was just a push-over before that round 3 knockdown of Barrera. Before the Marco Antonio Barrera match, he had dominated almost everyone while climbing the boxing steps via sensational KnockOuts. He had faced good fighters (Ledwaba, Lucero, etc...) and made them kiss the canvas. The crowd loves the way he fights but forgets him afterwards. Boxing analysts/experts that time already had their one eye open for the PacMan but they find Manny a little too one-dimensional and fundamentally awkward. Most believed that he can't handle great tacticians like the mexican greats. All doubts were in a rollercoaster after every PacMan fight! After Barrera, people said wow!!! what power!!! what speed!!! After Marquez, a very controversial decision had transpired. Some would say Pacquiao should have won by obtaining that 3 knockdowns in a single round. Some are convinced that Marquez had schooled Pacquiao boxing skills. People had started to doubt pacquiao.
The trilogy of PacMan vs El Terible had been the very highlight of Pacquiao's career. The first fight, which PacMan lost, was controversial as well. He had been blood-blinded with a clear headbutt which the ref called a punch. But despite this, Eric Morales clearly won the fight. But a very close one! Now people really thought that Pacquiao can be managed by boxing tactics! When the rematch came, Pacquiao seemed to improve greatly. He is faster, stronger, and somewhat ring clever. He improved his defense with still tremendous agression and top-notch condition! He gave Morales a first KO loss which he also gave to Barrera! And the deciding third fight closed the deal!!! Pacquiao was a very dominating force. His speed, power, and conditioning can't be denied. He is improving everytime he steps into the ring, it's almost frightening. In summary, now, almost everyone can say that he can't be defeated in his weightclass. Although he lacks the belts, his past fights will make you realize that he will dominate anyone. He had defeated, or should I say, KOed the mexican legends. He seemed unstopabble at this point! Give me names of worthy opponents.... Only Barrera, Marquez, and Guzman pops into our minds. But two of these fighters had already tasted the raw power of the not-yet-improved Pacquiao. People could only see these potential opponents make their beds on the canvas. Manny is a crowd sensation and a pure warrior!
The verdict: Manny Pacquiao the #1 P4P boxer. Floyd only comes second!!

i will say he's the perfect fighter contained in the international, yet when he should be the undisputed #a million pound for pound king he needs to come back to united statesa. and strive against. each and every of the ppl in europe hear of fellows like Roy Jones, De l. a. Hoya, And Mayweather and all of them are properly-known because they strive against in united statesa.. they strive against with a crowd tht is impartial and who ever is extra useful receives the gang on their aspect. De l. a. hoya did tht with quite somewhat all his fights, he gained the gang. Calzaghe has the gang already if each person is going in there no longer from whales hes were given the gang. He has to come back to united statesa. and win the gang over and then he often is the perfect p4p

I disagree with you Frank, I think Pacquiao is getting a lot of credit in the states because he has the type of style that american fight fans love. But i think most ring experts see Floyd as the best because of his skills and the fact that he is unbeaten and has never even really been challenged except for the 1st Castillo fight and the 1st 4 rounds of his fight with Judah. If Pacquiao was american he still wouldn't be ranked ahead of Floyd because he is just not the better fighter in my opinion. More crowd pleasing? yes. More exciting to watch? yes. But a better overall fighter than Floyd? No way! Pacquiao is one of the best in the sport today, just not THE best.

No he would be number 2 or 3 behind Mayweather, why? because Mayweather has beaten elite fighters all throughout his career, while even though I like PacMan has beaten "Shell-shocked" fighters in Barrera and Morales and has beaten Larios. Floyd has beaten all the Champions and Elites out there like
Gerano Hernandez
Angel Manfredy
Jesus Chavez (twice)
Diego Corrales (Knocked "Chico" down 6 times in the fight)
Jose Luis Castillo
Arturo Gatti
Zab Judah
Carlos Baldomir
Phillip N'dou
He has captured titles in 4 different weight classes and stayed undefeated. Now name better welterweights who are fighting

Frank - He's extremely popular right know, here and even more so in the Phillipines. I don't think he's well rounded enough to be the best pound for pound even if he was an American.

While I think he's awesome. He would not be the best pound for pound. His record is blemished, while the egotistical, scary Floyd Mayweathers is unblemished. Floyd still edges him out based on that point alone. Paq is the man, though! Gotta love him, he leaves it all in the ring...win, lose or draw.

Frank ~
Good question. In my opinion, It makes no difference where Manny is from fighting the way he does. Manny is often off balance after he throws his devastating left hand (He brings his leg around when he throws his left) and he gets hit a lot, hardly the qualities of a "Great" fighter, but he is a good exciting fighter to watch hardly a pound for pound best fighter. Manny gets hit way too much his fights with Barrera, Marquez and Morales are proof of this, it makes for great fights but it doesn't do much for ones longevity in the sport. If you hit a brick wall long enough with a sledgehammer eventually it will crack and break.
There's no smoothness to Manny style he throws punches in a spastic manner. Manny can not fight going backwards this is proof in his first fight against Morales and his only fight with Marquez. Marquez was down three times in the very first round, that's a 10 - 7 round for Manny and Manny still only gets a draw. Marquez made the necessary adjustments after the first round to offset anything Manny would try.
Manny fought and beat a very battle worn Barrera. Manny fought Morales three times, winning two of them but Morales was/is five years out of his prime. The only notable fighter who was in his prime that Manny has fought is Juan Manuel Marquez and Manny got a draw in that fight, you don't hear Freddy Roach and Manny screaming for a rematch with Marquez instead they want a rematch with Barrera, who Manny beat without a problem.
Nope, Manny's not great or pound for pound the best fighter out there today, but he is very good, he has a long way to go before Great and Manny should be mentioned in the same sentence. The people of his country call him "Great" but all they have is him as a fighter unlike America and Mexico who have plenty of fighters.
Thanks for the outstanding question Frank.
It seems like Da Moron wants to question my ability to answer boxing questions. It's funny look at his profile and check out his "Best Answers" 90% of these are by the voters, 2 voters seems like he likes voting for himself under his Da Moron and another, maybe him and man should get together ang go bowling. He needs to stick to answering questions about "Going Bald" or "How to become a DJ" he's out of his element here.
