Aww, I am sorry for your loss, poor Dylan.

Why not get your new lil' kitty and find out about its character. There might be a fantastic name relating to one of its traits.

Like Rascal (if tis naughty) or Smudge (if it has blurry markings).

I recently got the greatest little cat from a local animal shelter and I named him Anderson after CNN's Anderson Cooper. I think he's super sexy, and the name suits my cat just fantastically. But I never call him Andy for short. That's just a totally different name! So maybe just watch some TV for a bit, and listen for a name or even just a word that stands out to you. You'll find something. How about Simon?

You should get the kitten first, preferably from an animal shelter,so the kitten can have something to be thankful for and you can celebrate Christmas together. Then name him/her for it's personality. If you get a tortoise shell then it will be female, how about naming her after a greek goddess - Athena.

Why don't you get one first and then see what sort of character it has. The cat which lives next door to me is called Shadow but my daughter calls her Dirtbag! Why don't you call it Cooking Fat then if you lose it you can shout "Where's that Cooking Fat". Sorry, I can't stop laughing. I really like cats too in case you are wondering. I'm sure you won't be stuck for a name when you get your cat. Being serious, what about Pushkins, Dougal or Tigra.

It's a cat, it won't cme when called unless it wants to so why stress so much over a name. Get the kitty and name it afterwards.
