As I mentioned before, things turned very ugly with my ex over the weekend when he found out I kissed another guy 2 weeks AFTER we broke up. I saw him recently and he is the one who obsessivley wanted to meet up. We met had a great time and he found this out over the weekend. He's so angry right now and kept harassing me entire day by calling me when I kept hanging up. He's just being plain mean and I want to cut all contact till we calm down. Does it make sense to think of a friendship ahead? I wouldnt want to lose him as a friend because he was a big part of my life and I understand he's angry but his behaviour isnt justified as we were broken up. I dunno how guys react...you think he will get over this and we will be able to salvage some sort of a friendship?

No, it's silly to work on trying to maintain a friendship with a person who you dated, got to know and rejected. Just because he WAS a big part of your life doesn't mean he's entitled to or you're obligated to keep it that way. Move on.

It is really hard to become friends after a relationship. i would just let him know that you care about him a lot and will always love him but you think that taking time apart is the best thing for the future. I'm sure that you guys can be friends in the future when things cool down. Don't worry about the present so much, It is not wrong what you didn because you guys were not dating, so he doesnt have a reason to be upset..but then again he does seem to care about you so it probably hurt his feelings. You'll need to cut it off for a little while and let the fire burn out...You can always be friends in the future as long as you stand your ground now. good luck!

Yes, you will need a long time apart NO CONTACT then when the feelings on both sides are gone, you could consider a friendship....
