Yes. Drinking too much water can lead to a condition known as water intoxication and to a related problem resulting from the dilution of sodium in the body, hyponatremia.

it depends. If you are an average person, it is ok to drink up to 5 liters a day. But for ppl who are always subject to high level of physical activities everyday or for those who are on very high protein diet, they are supposed to drink up to 1 gallon or a gallon and a half a day. But, you should not drink water about 20 - 30 mins bfore meal and within 40-1 hr after meal since it can destroy the digestive liquid which comes out to absorb nutrients from the food you eat. So, drink around 4 liters unless you are bodybuilder or a high intensity athlete. Dont drink 2 or 2.5 liters a day, that wont do any better cos every living cell in ur body need water throughout the day.

Well, I'm my personal experience I wouldn't recommend drinking too much water. How much is too much it depends on your height and weight. It's very hard to drink to much water.
I drink 3 litters of water a day and I have to go to the bathroom at least 10 times a day, but when I drink more than 3 litters I get an awful headache and I know is too much. There is also the risk of water intoxication but most people is far from reaching that point.!
GOOD LUCK AND DRINK WATER!!!

Water is great for you, however it can wash out important minerals and vitamins. Just make sure you havea balance diet and if necessary take vitamin supplements. One thing that I have noticed over the years when I drink a lot of water is I tend to get muscle cramps and this is from the potassium leaving my system. This happens through drinking water and of course sweating when exercising. I just keep gatorade around to help replenish along with a good diet. Good Luck and keep drinking that water.

Yes you actually can drink too much. You should drink between 8 to 10, 8oz glasses of water a day. Too much water can also throw off your electrolytes. You should also be drinking healthy water without chemicals and toxins. Check out this site about healthy water.

Yes. Your kidneys need a certain concentration of salt to be able to retain water. If you drink too much, you can wash out the salts, and then your kidneys can't conserve water and can't keep the right water and electrolyte balance in your body, which is critical for things like muscle function, including heartbeat. Too much of a good thing can be too much!!

You actually can drink to much water. I learned that in basic training. I think we had to drink at least 8 canteens a day but not more than 10. I dont remember the exact math, its been awhile, but the answer is yes, you can drink to much water.

The only bad thing about drinking too much water is that it robs the body of natural minerals and electrolytes. However, you would have to drink an obscene amount of water. Those minerals and electrolytes can be replaced by a good diet or multivitamins.

Water Menu For Weight Loss
Many of us know that keeping our bodies well hydrated is essential for good health and for weight loss. Drinking 6 to 8 glasses of water every day is recommended and yet many people find this difficult to do.
If you are one of the many people who find it difficult to drink water, here is a program easily followed to ensure you are well hydrated every single day.
When you wake up you will often be thirsty because your body loses water while you are sleeping through breathing and perspiration. Drink a large glass of water with a slice of lemon for zing.
Drink another glass of water with breakfast or a cup of herbal tea before setting off the day.
Mid morning - snack on a piece of juicy fruit such as orange, rockmelon, watermelon, cantaloupe, honey dew. Have a glass of water and perhaps try a dash of herbal aloe juice which is wonderfully soothing to the digestive system.
Lunch - think of soup or have a glass of water before your meal, or perhaps a herbal tea.
Mid afternoon - While you are preparing your evening meal, drink a glass of water and snack on some crunchy fresh vegetables.
Evening - Sip a glass of water before your meal with a dash of your favourite fruit juice for flavour.
After dinner - before bedtime drink your final glass of water and sleep well!
Now here's the really exciting part - you may notice a reduction in inches and centimetres, as you body's water store become redundant and so decrease. You may need to 'spend a penny' more but the results will be worth it.
