Frequency is the number of repetitions per unit of time of a complete waveform. Meaning the distance between the peaks of a sound wave. Physically, 1 instance of a 30Hz wave will be about 11.45meters long and half that on both the vertices... Meaning it'll travel up and down by 5.7meters and will finish one cycle at 11.45meters! So if your sub is hiting alot higher frequencies, the sound will not travel as far as your friends who is hiting these lower, longer, frequencies.

Kicker Solo-Baric L7 08S15L72 has the terrific bass ever lots of air flow and in a 6 cubic foot container tuned to 35 Hz it is going to triumph over the different set up do no longer could exceed the max skill with an amp over 2000 watts it sounds outstanding and that i might noticeably propose this sub to each individual who needs to rattle their finished vehicle.

It's all in the box type/design, size of subs and the dynamics of the enclosure (vehicle itself) the system is in.

Is your box ported or sealed?
What does your friend have?
What are the RMS watts of both systems?

In most cases, a ported box will give more "BOOM" than a sealed. However, the subs must be able to be used in a ported enclosure and you can't just convert a sealed box to a ported box. Ported boxes are tuned to a specific frequency and follow certain guidelines to the T/S parameters of the sub(s).

The manufacturer of the subs or WinISD (a free program) can tell you what type of box is optimal for your subs.

this has all do with frequency. The lower the bass frequency the further away you can hear it. A buddy of mine had a super small hatch back car with 2 rockford fosgate 15inch HX2s with a 800a2 amp. I swear you could hear that half a mile away. His bass was the loudest around 40hz.
