There's this guy who lives a few houses down from our house. He's like in his 80's and lives alone, but something about him creeps me out. Maybe it's the way that he never comes outside except when the Catholic School for Girls is over. He usually comes out at that time and sits in his porch, then when all the girls are gone he goes back in. I don't know, maybe I'm the only one that has noticed that.

I don't think I would worry over an 80 yr old man watching the school girls. Did it occur to you that maybe he doesn't come out much because he is in poor health. He may be lonely and looking at the kids just makes him feel not so alone. Stop making up stories about the old man. Thats all it takes to get ugly rumors going. I used to take care of old folks in there homes and it is a lonely life. They can go for days without speaking to anyone. Don't be so quick to accuse the man.

He possibly has grandkids there own age and watching those gals lets him imagine she's coming over to visit. Or he had a daughter the same age that died in a tragic accident. Or he watchs the news about all the lost kids in the world and feels the need to keep a look out for real criminals who could harm them. So don't freak out right way. Just call him up or send him a letter asking him about it all. Whenever I see children alone in a store or near a hotel I keep an look out for them to make sure there safe. I don't have kids myself yet but I don't like hearing about all the horrible things that can happen to kids on the news.

It's a little creepy buy in all honesty why are watching this old man so much that you know his routine...
He may be lonely and a people watcher... He hasn't approached these girls right???
I live not far from a school and I sometimes watch the kids when they get out ... Maybe he has had problems with them coming onto his property or dropping trash on his lawn ...
I have 92 year old female neighbor that likes to sit in her car and watch people go by ... she says she enjoys seeing people go about.
Why not wave hello and see what happens!

Chances are he would do it even if it were a coed school because maybe he's far away from his grandkids, and watching the schoolkids getting out of school makes him feel closer to them. Give him the benefit of the doubt. He's old and he's got a routine and that makes him happy, it may be all that he's got. As long as he never approaches the girls and doesn't say anything to them or expose himself to them then there's honestly no harm. Don't assume the worst in people.

Sorry, but you are over-reacting if all he does is sit on his porch, no matter who is walking by! It's his own house, and sitting on one's own porch is not suspicious behavior. If he has not even approached anybody or caused other nuisances, there is no cause for alarm. Is he spying on you like you are spying on him?
Take him some baked goods to say hello and see if he is really creepy, or just a nice old man if you want to make judgment on him.

It could be that he is just lonely. Perhaps he has a grandaughter and isn't able to visit her and enjoys watching the kids. Or perhaps he is even watching out for them to make sure they pass safely!!! Why always assume the worst? If you are genuinely concerned and think there is something wrong look on the internet at your states childer molester registration. You can put in your address and see where they live in the area, this may put your mind at ease if he doesn't come up.
Why don't you try talking to him? Perhaps if you got to know him you would know what his true intentions are.

You never know. He could just be lonely. Or maybe the kids remind him of a child he has or had. Maybe he is a perv. Bake some cookies for him and leave them on his porch.

Hes probably just a lonely old man, but I agree it seems a little strange that he only comes out when the girls are around...;

Some old men (and I am fast becoming old) have a phobia for girls. I have heard of them asking girls to remove their tops or worse so that they can watch. These are dirty old men, and it is disgusting. I hope that I never get like that. All you can do is avoid getting caught in a compromising situation and avoid any contact with this guy. He does sound a bit strange.

Poor guy, maybe he is a people watcher, and he's lonely, so when there's a crowd, he wants to be there from a far. But,if you feel he's creepy-than weird.
