The entire idea behind what Jesus said was that the scribes and Pharisees were praying publicly to be noticed by other people and get attention. Our relationship with God should not be used to gain prominence and adoration from others. This is another point against the pomp and ceremony and extravagance of many churches in Christendom.

Jesus does tutor us to no longer pray in public so as that we will get interest. besides the undeniable fact that, Jesus himself prayed in public. Matthew 11: 25- Jesus mentioned, "I compliment you, Father, Lord of heaven and earth, on account which you have hidden those issues from the sensible and found out, and revealed them to sons and daughters." Luke 9: sixteen- Taking the 5 loaves and the two fish and finding as much as heaven, he gave thank you and broke them. Luke 23: 24- "Father, forgive them, for they don't be attentive to what they're doing."

You are lost.
Praying in public with others is fine. When 2 or more get together He will be there.
In Matthew Jesus explains a single person talking to God.
When you talk to your psychiatrist is it on a street corner or in an office?
Same thing.
You are led around by a lot of your own self induced delusions.
Get Jesus.

IF you want to make a point, try posting the scriptures.
Matthew 6:5-6 And when thou prayest, thou shalt not be as the hypocrites are: for they love to pray standing in the synagogues and in the corners of the streets, that they may be seen of men. Verily I say unto you, They have their reward.
seen Matt 6:1, Matt 6:16, Matt 23:5
6 But thou, when thou prayest, enter into thy closet, and when thou hast shut thy door, pray to thy Father which is in secret; and thy Father which seeth in secret shall reward thee openly.
reward Jer 17:10, Matt 6:4, Matt 6:18
1st Kings 8:54 And it was so, that when Solomon had made an end of praying all this prayer and supplication unto the LORD, he arose from before the altar of the LORD, from kneeling on his knees with his hands spread up to heaven.
Those hypocrites that God is referring to are those who pray out loud for the sole purpose to let people think they are goddly people, when they infact do not obey His word or live according to it.
God knows your heart, He knows all of our hearts, He knows when our prayers are real and sincere and when they are just for show. God wants us to pray all the time.
1 Thessalonians 5:17 Pray without ceasing.
Instead of trying so hard to disprove or discredit the word of God the way most of your posts are designed to do, Try working just as hard to apply the word of God to your daily life for a change.

I feel that anytime, anywhere that I feel I need to pray, I will Pray. It is my personal time. You don't have to jump down and kneel on the ground, you need not make a spectacle or a scene, a prayer is one on one, private and loving. I could be sitting on a park bench, by the ocean, or anywhere and I have my conversation or give my thanks.

The scriptures in Matthew are referring to those that are praying to be seen. He is telling us to pray NOT as hypocrites for they are doing it in their own name, not in the name of Jesus. He tells them they have their reward and believe me their reward is not worth having.
In verse 6 he is speaking to the ones who prays and not want to be seen. He tells us to enter thy closet for YOUR relationship can grow. It is between you and Him, and He wants to have time with his Child because He is your Father.
Know that prayer does not require you draw a crowd. You can pray as you walk down the street and no one knows but you and God. God has no set time for you to talk to him.
He tells us to acknowledge him in all ways and he will direct our paths. (go to Proverbs 3:6)

It is OK to pray but it is not OK to make a big deal about it. Praying silently to yourself in public is a good thing.

It's not the praying itself, but rather the heart's intentions. If you're doing it to show off or to make yourself look pious, it's not OK.
