I would say that alot of the time it is boring but that little bit of the time that its not. D*m its not, some of the things the highway patrol do is just cool just last night Utah Highway Patrol pulled over a car for a DUI and found over 300lbs of marijuana in the vehicle. If thats not a fun night I dont know what is.
Troopers do a lot more then just clocking people they set up check points, respond to any accident that happens on a state road, and deals with alot of sh*t so when you say are there jobs boring, they may be somewhat boring but for the little bit there not, there not.

Running radar is not boring, sitting in your patrol car not doing anything is boring. Doing traffic stops is not boring, I feel it is a necessary part of the job, maybe you yourself have observed the a lot of people do not observe the traffic laws. Running radar has different elements: first the unit has to be tested to make sure the it is working properly, after a day of running radar and before the end of your shift, you have to do all your reports on every violation so you are ready if you should have to go to court.

For the most part, they are traffic cops, and it is indeed boring after a while.

no, so long as there are people who will break the law, their job will always be interesting. Believe me its more than just pulling traffic and dealing with accidents.

They experience 90% boredom and 10% of sheer terror, when encountering dangerous suspects, especially at 3:00 a.m. in the morning. Hat off to the troopers!!

It is, by their own accounts, pretty much boring over 95% of the time.
But the money they pull in, and the benefits they rake motivate them to stay

Law Enforcement has been characterized as long periods of boredom accompanied by brief periods of heart pounding excitement.
Those brief periods make it all worthwhile, believe me.

No.

Every once in a while they get out and beat up an old lady or little child, and this keeps them all excited.
