have been told by doctor I need this op ,to take poison out of lung how do thay do it and how long does the op take

Before you have the op you will been seen by the surgeon and you can either ask him then or at your pre - assement, which you will have about 1-2 weeks before your op. Good luck and hope everything goes ok.

I have never heard of an operation to take poison out of the lungs.

You might have a tumor that needs to be removed. You could have necrosis or death of the tissue in a lobe of your lung.

The length of time for surgery would depend on your overall health, the severity of the condition for which they are operating, and any possible complications that could arise. The answer is no one can say how long it will take.

If they are inserting a chest tube to drain fluid, it will stay there until the fluid it out. Again, there is no way anyone can tell you how long this will take.
