With respect to her question, I think it is just that, a question, it does not indicate her personal preference at all, it is just meant to illicit your personal opinion. I can also see how, if you viewed it as a statement from someone as to NOT allowing children to play based on race, you would be somewhat upset, and therefore your response.

There are absolutely people who use race as the primary criteria for decisions, much more than who to play with. Like, who should be completely wiped off of the face of the earth, or genocide. Remember Hitler, Cambodia, Africa...

I do not doubt that the individuals/groups tending toward accomplishing genocide had play habits reflecting their mental attitude later in life. So, it is merely a matter of what type of child do YOU want? Play with any race.

Here is a good one, only if they are religious and I am not touting religion here. IF we all originate from the same original mother and father, we are all at least cousins, so....play with your cousins. The lady whose question you answered states she is a converted Muslim, they too believe in the common ancestry, so it is an interesting point to use.

I have read Muslimahs question and your answer. I think you mis understood her. I think she asks question to get people thinking about difficult topics. One of the few here who do. She was not making a statement about who you should let your children play with but rather opening a forum for people to answer. Personally I got a lot out of the people's answers, seems like there are a lot of people here who value letting their children see diversity and learn to get along with people of other religions, races, nationalities etc, while still maintaining their own identity.

This is heartwarming to me.

I think you answered Muslimah's question with your own, no offense meant at all.

Peace and Blessings,

Salim

I'm not sure if I understand your question. So I'll answer the best I can.

I think you might be just as judge mental. Are you judging her based on the question she asked?
Yes there are people who do not let their children play with another based on race, religion and other biases. It's called discrimination. It exists.

I think your answer was judge mental. Even if I agree with part of it.

Now, why are you asking me to be like you?
That takes some nerve too.

I am not quite sure of what you are asking sorry ...
but if you found Muslimahs question in any way disrespectful ( as i think that is what you are saying )
then no
Muslimah posts such questions to get everyones views on things and is not in any way disrespectful of others

if you are asking are right in saying that everyone should be tollerant of each other despite race , colour or religion ...
then of course you are right xx

you haven't been on this world long enough, the longer I'm on it the more i see of ignorant dull minded individuals that can not help the way they think, it is either implanted in them from their upbringing or they just don't know better, do not worry about other points of view, when it comes down to it you are the only one who goes through your life so make the best out of your own experience

Some people feel that way. You may not have a problem with it. Some religions teach not to play or talk to those of different religion or those without a religion.

I don't have a problem with my girls being friends and playing with anyone of any color but what I will not tolerate is them dating outside of their race. This is something that each parent has to decided for themselves maybe it is that they don't want other children influencing their children because the life styles are so different who knows. My daughters know they had better come home gay before they come home with someone outside of their race but they can be friends with anyone they want!

Actually YOU are the one being judgemental.
You have looked at the question and assumed that is her opinion.
It could also be that someone else stopped her child from laying with theirs for this reason.
I suggest that next time you read the questions properly

I have no problem with this, but I am sure there are people in this world who do. It is so sad that people feel this way. They are blind to the fact that we are all human and that God loves us all no matter what we look like. We are all created in the image and likeness of God.

God bless,
