Yes, he probably can. He probably shouldn't father children, however, until he is able to quit smoking and drinking every day. He would be setting a bad example by his drinking behavior, and he would be endangering the child's lungs by smoking around the baby. In addition, until he is your husband and not just your boyfriend, you should refrain from trying to have kids. If you are not both ready to commit to a life together, you should not be looking to commit to raising a child.

Vodka everyday? It sounds like your bf might have some bad habits why would you want to bring a kid into that situation? Once he puts down the bottle then consider it. If you want to be with an alcoholic fine but dont bring an Innocent child into it come on.

The man can more than likely have kids. I don't see why drinking or smoking would keep him from doing so. If a lowered sperm count is your concern then we should all worry if drinking and smoking is a problem because most of our young men in this country do it every weekend :)

Yes, he can still have children - should he have children is the question. If he's drinking all the time, when will he have time to be a daddy? If you're drunk it's kind of hard to play with the kiddies. Also - women instinctively look for someone to father their children and to be a good provider(since caveman days - animals even do it) so listen to your instincts. Something's telling me your are hearing the instinctive whispers just by asking this question. Do yourself but above all, do your un-born children a favor...don't have children with a man who can't be a good daddy to them. Remember - dating is an elimination process until you find the "right one". PS. I'm pretty sure alcoholism is hereditary...

Your boyfriend is heading down a road from which, if he keeps doing what he is doing, there is no return. His brain will be fried, his lungs destroyed, his body wrecked. That means he will reach a time when he cannot work, and the medical bills will hit him (and you, if you are still with him) like a freight train. You may have one child with him, by that time. You might have more than one. You will be living out of garbage cans, and those children that you chose to have with this loser, will be the biggest victims of all. This is your future with such a man. It hasn't happened yet. You can stop it before it does.

Can he still have kids ? Yes. Yet something else to think of...two people can 'make' a baby ~ yet, think it further than that...that child has a right to be raised in a healthy way, both physically and emotionally. Someone considering the father of their child who is a smoker and drinker...why knowingly put a future child to be raised in that environment? A woman's love for a man is one thing, yet a woman needs to also love a child that's not even created/born yet and care about that child's upbringing environment.

Although smoking and alcohol can lower sperm count he may be absolutely fine. You can buy home kits to test this out, like 'Fertell' that's one that's available in the UK this counts amount and motility if you're serious about having kids together he ought to start cutting down but a sperm analysis test will give you info on what the current situation is, good luck!

Yes he can still have kids but you might want to seriously consider the consquences of having children with a heavy drinker and smoker. Not exactly the best environment to raise a family in.
