Naproxen (Naprosyn) is a non steroidal anti inflammatory medication for aches, pains, and fever. It is quite similar to ibuprofen. With WalMart's new $4 prescription plan in Florida and Texas a once daily pill (meloxicam and piroxicam) are less expensive and more convenient. Meloxicam 15 md daily, prioxicam 20 mg daily, and naproxen 500 mg twice daily are equivalent. Ibuprofen 200 mg 3 tablets 4 times daily is the equivalent dose to naproxen 500 mg twice daily.
