Or for a Green Card!? or a Green house? and some people for the white house!!!

who knows ask those who do! They must have their reasons. To escape their miserable life, to better their life, to find another life, or just misguided! who knows!

Property can be taken away, and status can change too, beauty is a skin deep, and any good doctor can turn an ugly duckly to a beauty, if you have enough money.

If I get married, it will be to someone who give me a butterfly feeling in my guts when I see them, or am near them. My soul mate. At least, I believe they are my soul mate. We are not perfect, we like to believe we found our soul mate. Some of us do, sadly not all of us are that lucky.

Love, ma'am.

I'm shocked to see the response of Zifikos, though. I didn't know that the Muslims had a Religious and Political Agenda even for this!

This is scary.

Have a nice day.

I don't want to marry. I devote christian told me that marriage can not be found in the Bible. It was created to protect women. Marriage has received blessings from the Lord , but not mandated by religion until later in history. ( I am trying to recall everything he said).
I say this because nobody takes the oath seriously. People get marrige on a whim, and for selfish reasons mentioned above. If I meet a person I eventually come to love, then I do not need a contract to prove my commitment.
So no I would not marry or commit myself to someone for those reasons.

For love.

But then, we are quite a bit different, aren't we?

Different value systems, really.

I know that you Muslims do consider the woman a kind of commodity, somewhat inferior to her man and needing him to protect her property and status which she must give up to him and submit to him. Of course, we all know you people are quite fanatic about your Religion, too. You can see the difference between Zifikos' answer as a true Muslim; and the rest of us. And, anyway, love doesn't feature with you Muslims because your marriages are arranged for you, aren't they?

But, it works quite differently with us here. The woman is considered an equal and one to loved and cherished. Not very easy to win over, too; because they have a lot more liberty and freedom here, you see. And, of course, we don't have arranged marriages.

You'd find it very difficult to understand these things, being what you are.

Have a nice day.

As Jackie Kennedy once said "The first time you marry for love, the second time you marry for money & the third time you marry for companionship."

I Married my wonderful Wife because she is my Soul Mate, and My Best Friend. She is Very Beautiful, and she makes me look good. She is way smarter than me, and she makes me smarter. She is a Christian, and makes me a better Christian and a better Minister. She Completes me.

When I marry I intend to do it so that I can have a partner that I love and cherish for life, someone that I can care for, respect, adore, admire and love back. Someone who supports me and that I support in return. My soul mate.
