13 is still very young and you cant be forceful about gaining weight, you should do body weight exercises like doing push ups, sit ups, chin ups, calf raises, bodyweight squats. Since you are too young, using heavy weights is not advisable. Do those exercises properly 3 times a week. And try to eat 5-6 small meals a day, which contains low carbs, high quality protein ( red meat such as chicken breast, tuna, turky ) and some vegetables. Try to take in around 70 grams of protein everyday. Drink 3.5 to 4 liters of water a day. Dont drink much water 20-30 mins bfore meal and 40mins to 1 hr after meal since it can destroy the liquid comes out to absorb the nutrient from the food u eat. Your body type is ecto, so you must sweat easily, hungry often bcos of super fast metabolism, tend to lose weight if u play football or run or stuff. My body type is ecto too, but it is an advantage to us when we do bodybuilding. You said you hav tried to gain weight bfore, that would be great if we know what u did to gain weight. About the reps, sets and routine of the bodyweight exercises, i guess it would be convenient for us if you send me a message if you want to. But, seriously, dont start lifting heavy weights at this age for ur own good. Good luck !

Look UP 't-dawg 2.0' its a bulking diet designed to put healthy weight on
try simple exercises like pushups, situp, chinups and body weight squats when you get a bit of time during the day....doing your maximum repetitions every day(or every other day) should only take 1/2 hour or so of your time....do that and you'll see results....keeping track of how many you can do will be a big confidence booster too

good luck

1. Mcdonalds is not what you need, especially burgers.

2. Check your height and weight so you know exactly.

You need to up your daily intake slowly so your metabolism can adjust, start with a good breakfast, porridge is great or beans on toast or plain toast and marmalade, finish with fruit and OJ to drink. lunch and dinner should be lean, so tuna, chicken, steak with wholemeal rice or pasta, jacket pots with tuna, coleslaw, beans, prawns, cheese, eat wholemeal breads, treat yourself to a couple bars of chocolate a week, eat till you just begin to feel full, don't over do it. Sleep is essential to good health so try not to stay up to late.

Start a training regime, not to much cardio, weights is what you need to be doing, start with your own bodyweight, do as many as you can of chins, dips, pressups, crunches for abdominal conditioning, this internet thing is a gold mine of info for exercises, you will need a gym or weights of your own as you progress, your looking to add lean muscle not fat, eating too much will just add fat. If you want more help feel free to contact me.
