No wonder Mickey G got out of the business. Absolutely the advertising is a legitimate cost charged by the manufacturer. The money goes into a pool to advertise in the market that you are in. I work for Chevrolet in Chicago and we are charged 2% of MSRP before destination in advertising. On a $50,000 Suburban that is $1000. This is money we are forced to charge so unfortunatelly you are forced to pay as a consumer. Every product that you purchase has advertising built into the price, you just don't get to see the invoice. The reason it is disclosed on car invoices the way that it is is because it is charged regionally depending on the market that you are in. Obviouslly Chicago will be higher than Topeka Kansas. The other charge is usually associated with the parts department involving Core Charges. If the dealer is charged that, unfortunatelly so are you. 1% over invoice is more than a fair deal. Enjoy.

Yes, The advertising is an actual add to the invoice. However that money is often put into an account for the dealer to use for advertising. I personally have never seen the Warranty Parts deal.. I work for a domestic dealer....
So the final answer is yes......
You are only talking about 35.50 they are additions to the price of the vehicle from the manufacturer to the dealer in other words they add to the total cost to the dealer.. your agreement was for 1% over total invoice not an adjusted invoice...

they are valid charges to the dealer but technically, you shouldn't have to pay them and as one person said, refuse to pay those fees go to leave and they should tell you to hold on.
The first fee, they are charging YOU for their advertising expenses.
The other fee...I don't know about that one.
I just bought a new mazda 6 and the only fee I paid was their processing fee of $299. I practically bought the car at invoice. I'm happy with my purchase. I told them the price that would make me come in and sign the deal and they did it. No BS.

This is where I got some good info about those types of fees.

The invoice price should only contain items that the manufacturer charged the dealer. These sound like generic costs involved with the sale of all of their cars and certainly do not apply to the car you purchased.

I worked in dealerships for 15 years and have never heard of those charges. If it comes down to the wire, demand that they explain what those charges are for and insist they whittle it down some. The most puzzling is warranty retail parts recovery...what an oxymoron since all warranty work is paid by the manufacturer at just over wholesale cost. I would fight it as far as possible. They should have disclosed this before you agreed to anything.

To me, the seller is working with each and all of the prospect right here, no longer you. So, a thank you to have the skill to pay is by utilising having the seller deliver you an bill, what he did. maximum probable, the bill sent substitute into with the aid of PayPal.the seller has an account with PayPal and might deliver you an bill with the aid of PayPal even nonetheless you haven't any longer have been given an account with PayPal. a thank you to do it extremely is to deliver the bill on your digital mail handle, to no longer your eBay account. it extremely is why the seller desires your digital mail handle. this style you may nevertheless pay with the aid of PayPal while not having an account with them. you will do it as a focused visitor, no longer as a registered consumer. when you consider which you haven't any longer have been given a PayPal account you haven't any longer have been given earnings a PayPal account, subsequently you would be making the charge utilising a credits card or e-verify out of your economic corporation. don't be attentive to in case you have the choice to a private verify or money Order. in case you're making the charge utilising a credits card you would be coated by utilising the credits card could something circulate incorrect. If a credits card element is stored risk-free like while paid with the aid of eBay? i've got self belief that it extremely is as risk-free or as risky because it extremely is not any remember with the aid of what corporation or company on line.

Those are all reasonable charges. The one thing I would never pay when I bought a car was prep charges.
