The problem with modern christians is that they have lost sight of the fact that the bible is a work of fiction and parable. It was never meant to be a "pure" word of god. The reason why there is sex, adultry, murder, slavery and other such odious subjects is because of the state of society 2000 years ago. Slavery was a fact of life. A economic and social necessity that was supported by the public, government and laws of the time and all the way back to the begining of human history. It is only in the last 300 years that slavery as a legalized institution has been questioned.
So when you read the bible, take the context of the bible for what it is, a collection of fictionalized accounts and parable for living. It will make much more sense to you then.

That was in the Old testament. It mentioned it, but it doesn't condone it. It is not the Christians. Jesus Frowned upon slavery. He never owned a single human being, although he could have more than his share. NOT one slave. Think about it. Today neither the Jews or the Christians have slaves but the Muslims still do.
Why don't you ask about the Quran. They still have slave today! did you know! time to wake up. There are still slaves in Sudan, and their master are the Muslim Arab. Look it up.
Did you know in Islam it is a sin for the slave to run away from his master, but not for a person to own a slave!? look it up.

could you give a reference from the Bible that says slavery is good?
God allowed divorse but God says he hats divorse
I would not say condoned... kidnapping was a capital offence and Americal Slaver was based on kidnapping... it was evangelicals under the British politician Wilberforce who first abolished slavery See the book "The roots of endurance" by John Piper
slavery is evil but we live in a fallen sin cursed world and the solution was for God to become a slave
"the Son of Man has come not to be served but to serve and give his life an atonement for sin " Mark 8:45
He can serve you so you can serve God acceptably
on the other topics you raised...Creation and the flood has the stornger.better science, evolution has better propaganda...

There is such a thing as out of Context. You have to understand the context in which something was written in order to understand the true meaning behind what was written. Example: you're on a bus and you hear some guy just telling his buddy "I just stuck it in over and over again and it was all good," and you think he's a pervert, when in fact he's talking about how his doorknob was jammed, and he's talking about putting his key in the lock. Context is important, not just the words and who is saying them.

Because slavery was acceptable when he Bible was written, the people who wrote it obviously didnt realise that slavery would become seen as such a bad thing

Well, now that we know you hate God, what do we do about it. I can't do anything about it so I guess its up to you. Your question about slavery is just a front. Why don't you look at the real issue. You are a sinner and need the forgiveness of Jesus. What are you going to do? Surrender or just keep on fighting Him. He's going to win regardless of what you do.

If your brilliant ideas about christianity are that real so please explain to us the concept of deliverance, of salvation, the year of jubilee, the fraternity, equality , love etc.. in the bible....
I suggest that you read because it is you who ask questions like a parrot

Yes but Jesus didn't believe in slavery
He said 'I will make you free', and he said 'sell your possessions' to the rich man
Therefore, rich men should sell their slaves and set them free
All other of the quotes, sure they're in there, but you got to be selective to see what Jesus was getting at
