Having questions or a doubt is all a natural posses of growing. I thing everybody should question everything, including religion. Whatever you believe in should make some sense or should be supported by relevant sources.
I believe you are on the right path if you believe there is a God. But I do not think it ends there, I believe that life is a continuous spiritual journey/search. If something does not make sense to you, you should investigate more and ask God for guidance, all this having in mind that we are limited to know and understand God.

That is because the Christian religion was made to be questioned and eventually changed.
Romans Chapter 3 explains in a in depth way what you are going through.
[7] For if the truth of God hath more abounded through my lie unto his glory; why yet am I also judged as a sinner?
[8] And not rather, (as we be slanderously reported, and as some affirm that we say,) Let us do evil, that good may come? whose damnation is just.
[9] What then? are we better than they? No, in no wise: for we have before proved both Jews and Gentiles, that they are all under sin;
[10] As it is written, There is none righteous, no, not one:
[11] There is none that understandeth, there is none that seeketh after God.
[12] They are all gone out of the way, they are together become unprofitable; there is none that doeth good, no, not one.
Just because the truth may become easier to understand (God hath more abounded) because of a lie....doesn't mean that once you see the truth you don't turn from the lie.
Many lies have been said in the name of Jesus. Jesus said not to be deceived. But most are, it was meant to be.
Mark 13:5-6
[5] And Jesus answering them began to say, Take heed lest any man deceive you:
[6] For many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ; and shall deceive many.

Just because the things that they say make sense does not mean that there is no God.
Most of their arguments are based on religious or biblical conflicts. Just because the religion or the bible may have something that is not true as a part of it does not mean that God does not exist. In fact if everything that the bible said was proven not to be true, God would still be just fine.

Sure, a lot of them make sense, but most of them have no idea about anything else beyond this earth. I've met a number of people whom have gone into cardiac arrest and claim to have gone to Heaven. Not only have they described Heaven, but they described deceased loved ones. All five of these people whom have never met gave me similar details. Just the fact that they were able to return let's me know that it was all God's plan, and so that they could meet people like you, who have a shimmer of a doubt. All of the prayers and praise to Him is not in vain. The Bible talks about how people and scholars will try and steer you in the wrong direction. I've even watched others who won't step foot in a church or utter a prayer receive great cars, beautiful homes--all the things that I thought faithful Christians should have. But in all essence, God is better than all of those things. If you don't have God, you have nothing. I believe that God blesses people in seasons and grants favor to those who truly love Him. Continue to read your Bible, stay encouraged, and don't be blinded by the ways of others.

If the atheists are right then you have no savior, then you might as well be Epicurean and enjoy pleasure and think nothing of death, then one day die to come face to face with God and tell him that you once had believed in him but thought he didn't exist so you just had fun! Are you ready to come face to face with that? The biggest fear is to think that there is no God(Jesus Christ) and find out after death that there is a God(Jesus Christ)!!! Won't you rather believe there is (to play your ends well) and when the judgment day comes, you go with him? . If you're doubting your faith, then i suggest you go to church, not just any Church but pray that God helps you find a Church that will nurse you back to him. There are times as a Christina when the devil wants you to doubt your faith, these are usually the times when God is planing something great in your life, but the devil wants to see you fail. So he lies and deceives you. I truly believe you should take the opportunity of talking to your friends about your faith as a bless(God brought them to you), because you can help them to come to know God. But first you should pray to God to reveal himself to you and to assure your foundation again.
I know from experience that he is always prepare to help. All you have to do is ask!

Child of God, if you gave your heart to the Lord, He will not let you go. You are standing of a faith that has endured years of persecution and yet it remains. Lies eventually die off. My answer to you is not to engage in these debates with unbelievers, because they are like blind men, unable to see the truth of the Good news. Faith needs the Holy Spirit to open the eyes of the blind. Of course what they say may sound sensible, they have practiced the arguement for years. If you are still a babe in Christ don't involve yourself with their debate, What if they are wrong. Jesus is faithful you will not be disappointed.

It is natural to question your faith at sometime. However you should not debate religion with those who have different religions than yourself unless you are really strong in your own faith. It leads to confusion and discord. My suggestion is to simply see if you cannot find the answer to the questions you are asking yourself in the bible. If not then ask a religious leader of your faith and see if they cannot point you in the right direction. It is best to be able to refute what sounds like logic with truth and scripture that supports your side of the debate. And if you cannot find the answers at all then it will be up to you to decide what you truly feel in your heart to be true. I wish you luck. Please email me with any questions I might be able to help you with. I will let you know if I cannot support it with scripture myself and perhaps give a link where you can find it on the web.

You are on the right path. You are thinking for yourself. You are not letting fear lead you any longer. You have a brain for a reason, to use it. Come to your own conclusions about this life, don't let yourself be told what is right and how you should live. Thats something you have to do for yourself, not through being told what to do by something that was made up to control you since the beginning.

hmm. you have touched upon the fundamental truth of Christianity: fear. Christians want you to fear questions. fear seeking your personally truth, which is what you are doing. Every point of view is right, and wrong. the only one who can make sense of these truths is you.
Personally, organized religion is a tool of mankind, to use, manipulate, and control the people in it. All for the gain of the religion and the people in control of it.
God, if such a being exists, surely would not be spending every moment worrying about this little planet, when there is a universe to keep it occupied.
think about this phrase:
"do what you will, but above all, do no harm."
think deep about what your actions do to those around you. and how your actions affect people in the slightest way. It will give you plenty to think about at the very least.

Matters of spirituality are subjective to one's own experience, upbringing, & thought processes. After all, isn't the key difference between all major religions only a matter of WHICH Holy Book they believe in? Don't think 'right' or 'wrong' path-- be true to yourself & be true to the processes of doubt & mystery. God isn't angry when we doubt.
