First sit your dog in the corner. Sit with your butt and the dogs butt pressed against the corner. Wrap one arm around the neck and the hand around the muzzle (towel can be helpful with a snappy dog). Your belly will be on the dogs back. He should want to back up the wall will stop this. P.S. When not putting in medicine touch his ear and get him use to it. Also be dominant don't allow the dog to ever show any aggression towards you.

Get a nylon muzzle from the pet store. If its a small dog, have someone hold him for you. If it's a big dog, sit on him. If you don't have a muzzle, you can use an old pair of pantyhose-- loop it around his muzzle, then tie the loose ends behind his neck. Be sure it's tight! A nylon muzzle is safer. Remember than dogs can still bite with a muzzle on in most cases. Be gentle, too-- if you are having to medicate his ears, they are probably sore. Good Luck!!

Start a program of daily massages (including ears and face). This will get it use to people touching and can become useful when medical treatment is necessary.
Distract him with a few treats or have someone hold it's muzzle while you put the drops in the ears.

Try training him to get use to you touching his ears by holding a snack in one hand and touching his ears with the other. If he gets upset pull the snack back and make a sharp noise. When he calms down put the snack back to him. When he lets you touch his ears, give him the snack. Do this several times slowly touching his ears more like you would if you were giving him the medicine. Make it a good thing like a game.

Hold mouth shut with one hand, apply drops in ear with the other, or you can get someone to hold the dogs mouth. If all else fails buy a muzzle to put on the dog only for the process

I have Saints and as I hope you know they are very large. I have one male that hates his ears cleaned. I use a muzzle only because I need something to hold on to as he tries to pull away. Depending on the size of your dog (not mentioned here) I usually come up behind him, standing with him between my legs holding him by the muzzle. Then if he tries to bolt I can squeeze my knees around him to hold the body in place until his ears are clean. Hope this helps.

Take a soft peice of cloth and tie the dogs mouth shut. That is what a lot of vets do. Or tie it up on a short leash held over the head like groomers do.
