If by "save the day" you mean joining Israel in attacking Iran, then yes, I support the US involvement that way.

Iran is provoking an attack from Israel, and will have earned it. Might as well coordinate and make the attack fully successful against the jihadist *********** running that country.

When Israel attacks Iran? What in gods name are you talking about?

If IRAN attacks ISRAEL, then, yes, we should come to their aid, for a number of reasons.

We are their ally. Israel is the only liberal/western nation in the middle east. To not support it would be foolish. America has always supported its allies and supported western institutions when possible.

I can hear the cries now. It will be another Iraq/Vietnam. No it won't. Proactively attacking a sovereign nation or stepping into a Civil War is much different than defending an ally. It would play out more like the first Gulf War than the current mess in Iraq. We would be defending a country, not trying to rebuild one. Granted, this could all be screwed up with poor leadership with no objectives, but I would hope that wouldn't occur. It seems like our goals from the outset would be clear.

Yet, we can't just sit by and watch an ally be destroyed. We couldn't let that happen to anybody, but to allow it to be destroyed by Iran, who is already very antagonistic would only empower them even more and would most assuredly lead to more problems down the road, that would have even more dire consequences.

However, good question, as Iran will probably attack Israel at some point in the near or not-so-near future.

For Israel it’s a matter of life or death. The president of Iran has said he will use the bomb on Israel when he has it—not that he might use it. If I were Israel I wouldn’t wait. The United States should be proactive and do something about Iran now while there are still lots of peaceful options that might work. And yes, the United States will back Israel up if it comes to that and I support that position.

Israel does not have the military capabilities to execute a successful attack on Iran.It will be a mistake for them to try because the consequences would be grave.to launch an attack on Iran they must over fly Iraq.This permission will not be granted by Iraq.WE have made too much of mess already to get entangled in anymore messes.

Since we have now openly asked both Syria and Iran to help get Iraq calmed down, the Israelis cannot attack.

a pre-emptive strike by Israel is not out of the question, however,iran has spewed its hateful rhetoric numerous times,so i would guess that iran would strike first. and yes, i do support America coming to Israel's aid.

Israel will attack Iran in very soon. The Israeli prime minister came to the U.S and urged the U.S government to bomb Iran, but Bush refused to do it because of the Iraq mess. So I think Israel will bomb Iran in the very near future.

IF Israel had the guts to attack Iran, Israel would be wiped out of the map within a couple of years...besides, the US has bigger problems to deal with now (Iraq, democrats,etc...)

Israel is going to attack Iran? I see it working the other way around. Iran wants to "Push the Jews into the sea". What a peaceful religion Islam is. Sigh
