Well, whoever his parents were, he's adorable!

I would say a Rotty mix; maybe even a rotty/shepherd mix.

It is not a German Shepherd. It is a mix of German Shepherd and something else, you will never know. A mutt is nothing more then a mixed breed dog. It does not matter as long as you are happy with the dog.

Looks like a mutt to me, but a lot of G Shep pups don't look like they are going to grow up to be shepherds! It might have some shepherd in it. It's not a Rottie-- they look like Rotties very early on. How much does it weigh and where did you get it? It looks older than 7 weeks. There's no rule that says mutts have to be only two breeds-- they can be so many mixed up breeds that you can't tell what the originals were. Good Luck!!

You will be able to tell more when it is closer to a year old. I can see maybe Rottweiler mix, I don't see German Shepherd or Doberman - it's muzzle is way too short for that. Maybe part Australian Shepherd?

That's the fun of mixed breeds - it is all guessing!

Oh, by the way, German Shepherd pups ears are down when born, and go through stages of ups & downs till they are about 6-8 months old because teething effects them. So, the ear carriage is subject to change. ; )

That, my dear is a purebred German Shepherd. The ears will become erect between the age of 6 months to a year. The cartilage hardens as the dog matures. It will look funny as it is going through this phase because you will probably see one ear up and one 1/2 way up. Sort of looks like a jackass.

To me it's a cute dog. Don't listen to rude people...specially those who don't know how to type and feel the need to be mean...I guess it helps their pathetic lifes feel worth something (which they are but not with attitudes like that) (gitemgang). A mutt is just a dog who isn't pure bred and is mix. I have two "mutts" and I couldn't be happier. My Chihuahua mix you wouldn't even know he's not pure bred because he's identical to a long hair chihuahua...but the people at the shelter said his mom was a chihuahua but the people that dropped them off didn't know what it had mated with. If I were you I would just be content with the dog and leave it at that! Because they're just like people...it doesn't matter their shape, color, size...they are just lovable creatures!

Looks like a Rottie mix to me. Oddly enough, almost looks kinda terrier-ish in the face, or maybe even dauschaund. Prolly mutt mixed to rottie. Cute pup though.

i don't know where people are getting this rottweiler stuff from--it looks absolutely nothing like a rottweiler. my first thought when i saw it was that it was a hound of some sort. like a hunting hound. i wouldn't say it appears to have any german shepherd in it, either.
