I'm a single father and I have no immediate people i can talk to about children and parenitng in general. Does anyone knows of a good pareniting site, chat site or penpals. I have been in a few rooms, but i cannot for the life of me find a genuine decent conversation. My other questions give an insight about me, i'm a decent loving father, just looking to chat to other parents about parenting and life in general.

I just typed parentingtoday into my web browsers search engine and got some very good results. You can do that too, and select what seems relevant.

I am also a single father, raising two little girls. I understand your need for interaction with other people who are going through the same journey, but the truth is there aren't alot of groups out there for full time single dads. I suggest that you have discussions with your children everyday (if they are old enough) and read read read. You'll often find more valuable advice in written form then you would from an unknown entity on the internet. Good Luck!

I am so sorry for everything you are going through. Sounds as if you are doing a wonderful job and you should know that because it is not easy to take care of a child alone especially after such tragedy.I would love to talk to you if you need someone to talk to. I have a 14 month old little girl and available if you ever want to talk. I hope life gets a little easier for you. Take care and have a great thanksgiving.

babycenter.com is a good site, and you can always check out the yahoo groups (or msn, or other sites) If your kids are young, try playgroups, gymboree, or other activities like that. You can also check out local community action programs.

Check out the local health department website, and local government and city websites.

first of all Kudos to you for caring and doing your best. I am a pediatric nurse for 21 years and a mom for 18 years so if you want you may write me about child behavior, development and parenting. Have you tried parentsconnect.com ? I wish you the very best of luck and let me know if I can help. Blessings to you and your child(ren).

You are one in a million, check your local area for single parent support group, there should be one, being a single parent is a rough job, and twice as hard for man. You might check your local health dept. they should have some information on groups in your area.
