Yes, lack of sleep together with stress will definitely cause breakouts. Try using a soothing face mask on your face and place a sprig of lavender under the baby's pillow to help him sleep better.

Yes, it can make your face break out because lack of sleep causes stress on your body. Just make sure you eat very healthy foods especially if you don't get a lot of sleep.

Hi there.
Lack of sleep will not cause blemishes. Stress will, along with sleeping with unwashed hair, with your hands touching your face (like me), not removing your makeup or a pillow case that has not seen a washer since your husband was deployed (oops, that's me too:) ) will cause blemishes. Also, your gorgeous bundle of joy's head can also cause acne around your chin line and on your cheeks if you hold it agaisnt you often. (I always did that too.) The hormonal changes in your body will also cause skin probelms.

As an Aesthetician (skin specialist) my best advise is a rocking chair. When my lil men were infants I had a rocker and fed the there, cuddled them and slept with them. It is amazing bonding time that reduces the stress of night time rituals. I promise that it will help your face (along with a wonderful cleanser for the a.m.) and will not spoil your lil man either. Good luck!

Its not sleep, something else. I don't know what, but acne doesn't decide to pop up from lack of sleep. Maybe he's stressing you out so much that the sweat and oils from your face cause the break-outs.

this could be due to the stress you have been under lately. not sleeping does add to the stress level. when you are stressed out, your body goes through alot of hormonal changes including an increase in the cortisoid level. This could very well be the cause of your break out. be careful, alot of stress is bad for the heart and could cause you to gain weight. I suggest you try giving the baby a little tylenol when he is irritable. you on the other hand need to try to relax as much as possible. a warm bath usually helps. make sure the baby is asleep and secure before doing this. by the way, tylenol usually makes them sleep.

Lack of sleep and stress can give you acne....More than likely its both.
If you cant sleep at night, then during the day take a nap (if your a stay home mom) once you get your little sunshine to fall asleep, then you take a nap yourself....

awww the joys of motherhood!! lol

It sure can...you body needs rest...if you don't sleep, then you get stressed out...you may not feel it...but your body does, and stress makes you break out...

And for you little boy...just make sure you give him Motrin before bed, which I'm sure you already are, but I have 3 little boys, and I know it's hard to listen to them cry, but if you have done all you can do for him, it won't hurt him to cry some...he will learn to soothe himself.

Yes, surely ~ lack of sleep have negative effect on health, smartness, working capabilities etc. As you know that kids need a lots of care and only mom can do that ~ no one else.

That is one of the reasons GOD (swt)has advised us to give very high degree of respect to our moms. As she has right to say any thing and we shudnt reply her in rough way. If reply is needed then that shud do in a very polite manner.
