I have a tattoo on my lower back and i had a spinal block (a deeper and more risky version of an epidural) when i had a c-section last november.
if medical staff have told you that you canthave an epidural they are talking rubbish.
People just try to scare you. Dont believe what they say.

I've never heard that before and as tattoos at the bottom of the back are dead popular nowadays I'm pretty sure that lots of women with them have epidurals! Sounds like a load of rubbish to me!

I have a tattoo & had an epidural. I believe that you've been misinformed. If you're still doubtful, contact the anathesialogist. (sp)

I think it may have something to do with the location of a tattoo on your back as a tattoo is scar tissue & it hurts like b&tch if they can even get the needle thru. Ask your doctor to be sure about this tho.
