Hmm, yeah they are of the same religion as i am. BUt it's not beacuse we are both religious, goodness no. It's because most people who keep to our religion, are good people, they know what they must and must not do, so we never had any problems getting along, that is why the friend I loove the most is hte same religion as I am.

I don't like a person because of his or her religion. I like them for who they are. Not what they believe in. I do have friends who are of different religion. They are not that religious.

My closest friend is .. most accurately .. described as an agnostic with atheistic tendencies. He is almost certain there is no higher power, but leaving that sliver open as a possibility, however he despises organized religion. His rational thought on the matter is only one of the thousand things I love about him. :)

I do have religious friends, but to be honest .. I find it hard to relate to a lot them because of that. Either they think I'm misguided because I'm an atheist (and a well educated one ... meaning it's a decision I researched, not one I just 'chose') .. or I end up shaking my head a lot when they start on the religious banter, biting my tongue throughout most of it. It's hard to accept total friendship from someone that thinks you're out of your mind, and on the same side .. hard to offer it when I lack respect for their lack of free thinking.

Edit: To clarify, my remark about lack of free thinking is for their following of a religion that advocates contradictions and double standards. I am completely accepting of faith and beliefs, I have no tolerance for religous sheep.

They normally go together, especially as you get older.

But not always, I have good Friends that are not religious at all, and I know people that are religious that I don't care for as much.

We as Christians are called to be a friend to all, especially those in need, hopefully I am a good example of that most of the time.

Peace and God Bless you!

Yes. she is religious. I like her because she is a good friend and i am also glad that she is religious so we can talk about things like religion. I like her because of both reasons but probably mainly a friend.... some people are embarresed about their religion so they would right out say because they are a good friend. they forget about god when someone asks them that.

My best friend is my partner and she's an agnostic.

I find those with Religion a bit trying.

Have a nice day.

No, the two most wonderful people I know are not religious at all. So obviously I don't like them because they are religious and I am not sure I like them because they are like me, I like them because they are like themselves and very special and of course decent and good people.

I am an atheist. My dearest friend in this world is a Christian. I love him with everything in me, even more than I love myself. If ever I had to, I would die for him.

His religion has nothing to do with my feelings. I love him for the good, kind, decent man that he is. We don't always see eye to eye, and our differences can get in the way quite frequently. But each stumbling block that we overcome serves to draw us closer. He is everything to me, and I don't know that I could live without him.
