Ive got a sore under my nail and only today ive already trapped it in the door, smashed it on a cuboard and stabbed it with some plastic off my laptop!

it is the same reason that

1. bread will drop butter side down when it falls
2. there is never enough jam or peanut butter left in the jar
3. you have fish in the freezer and no chips
4. it rains when you forget your umbrella
5. a goal is scored in the 90th minute and you lose
6. why women say I Do and then decide they Don't
7. why the last of the milk is sour
8. You never have change when you need it
9. no one else can change a £20 when you need it
10 the kebab shop is shutting when you get there a minute late
11. Your horse falls at the last hurdle
12. You spill your pint after one taste

I think it is because you are being protective of the injured part and in so doing perform activities in a different way so become more clumsy - or it's sods law

You dont actually hit it more, its just that part of the body is painful when touched or hit, so you hit it the same amount of time per day as any other part but due to its soreness you experience the pain more! hope this answers your question

hi adam's girl. that is not a surprise. you always habitually get hit or injured on the most vulnerable or most exposed part of your body. if you're right handed, this could be part of the right arm down to the hands & fingers, & vice versa if you're left handed.

It is just more sensitive - If you did not have a bruise there you would not feel it as painful as when you have a bruise there. Good thing you did have a hammer in your hand!!!!
