I'm not sure what you mean by peaeful. Do you mean less crime or in their attitude toward world affairs. Canada unboubtedly has less crime than the US. They don't have as big a problem with minorities and of course they don't have thousands of criminals pouring over their border every year. And I think it's just so cold, nobody can garner enough energy to commit a crime. As for world affairs, yes they are more peaceful. It's easy to be peaceful when you stand for nothing and live under the big umbrella of the US defense forces. Just sit back and enjoy. No worries. Great attitude if you can afford it.

I think there are dangers where ever you go. I am from MA but I have been to Canada a lot (I am of Canadian decent). I find it so beautiful there, even in the middle of a blizzard and there is something very soothing about Canada that makes you feel safe. It's the country atmosphere for me that does it. What I especially love about Canada or Canadiens in general is the cleanliness. I am a clean freak and Canada has to have the cleanest people around (either that or I have only been exposed to those types of people).
Anyway.... Keep in mind. Home is where the heart is. I grew up in Maine after my Mom got remarried but my heart was in Massachusetts because that was where I was born. I came back when I was 19 and I've travelled alot but choose to reside here. Something holds me here to this location. It truly is home to me. Somehow I don't think I will ever move from here. My heart is here.

With regards to diplomacy and foreign policy there are a number of members of the European union that are more peaceful. IE Switzerland.
However if you are a just looking for a general attitude, Canada vs us. Take this into consideration, Canada has a lower population density, even for urban areas. Canada also has lower violent crime statistics and a slightly overall higher standard of living

Canada has been blessed with a good neighbor that protects their southern border. They have had no threat from that neighbor in over two hundred years. If only the rest of the world could follow the example of the United States and Canada this world might be a better place.

Quebec Vice? Toronto Vice? Montreal Vice?
No, it sounds like the makings of a TV show where they stake out a pond where ducks are being fed stale bread so the Mounties take the perps down!

Most peaceful in the world? no.
I'd say Switzerland is more peaceful than Canada, as it didn't take part in any world wars. They're always neutral, innit.

I think it is. But this is probably because they always try to remove themselves from world affairs (e.g. war in Iraq). If I were you I would move back. The healthcare is cheaper and the government isn't corrupt.
