Just look at 99% of the answers from Christians on this site saying that "God loves everyone". Where is that in the Bible?
The Bible says that God not only hates sin, He hates sinners themselves:
"The boastful shall not stand before Your eyes; You hate all who do iniquity." - Psalm 5:5
"The LORD tests the righteous and the wicked, And the one who loves violence His soul hates." - Psalms 11:5
Before you quote John 3:16 and try to say that "world" means "everyone in the world", consider other uses of that word such as:
"Do not love the world nor the things in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him." - 1 John 2:15
Yes, God loves His people, but where does it say He loves "everyone"?
The same Bible that says "God is love" (1 John 4:8) also says "God is a consuming fire" (Hebrews 12:29).
God does not cast sin into hell, He casts SINNERS into hell.
How do you support the notion that "God loves everyone"?

p_I_gray, here's your Scripture for God casting sinners into hell:
"And if anyone's name was not found written in the book of life, he was thrown into the lake of fire." - Revelation 20:15
How about some Scripture from YOU to support the idea that God loves everyone?

Every passage that you cited says that God loves "us". The "us" refers to Christians, not everyone in the world. Look at the introduction of all of the New Testament epistles. They are addressed to BELIEVERS. No one denies that God loves His chosen people but no where does the Bible tell an unbeliever that he is loved by God.

hi
It is best to follow the Bible even the one percent of real Bible readers/ Doers
For as it is writen in the Bible the Way to destruction is wide yet the Road to life is narrow!
It is a truth many fail to accept "hell is full of sinners Not just sin"

God does love everyone.... but love does not equate to acceptance. There is a stark difference. I can love you, but not like what you do.
God does not cast sinners into hell, you need to back that up with scripture. The Bible speaks of Satan being cast into hell. Unrepentant sinners chose their fate.
{edit} the verse you quoted is incomplete. How does ones name get removed from the book of life. It's a choice. And further, what is God's reaction to that persons choice?
I don't need to defend God's love, you have unknowingly done so... isn't God cool that way. You have made the claim that He doesn't love everyone... you need to support that with the full context of scripture. Not scripture taken out of context. You can't pick and chose... sorry.
More importantly or I guess sadly, based on your obvious general dissent toward the Bible, you will explain away any scripture I give you as contradictory or irrelevant. I'm simply not interested in arguing scripture with someone who is arguing for the sake of the argument and has no real interest in Biblical truth.
If you chose to you can look up the following.... also taken out of context so apply them as you will.
Romans 5:8
Romans 8:39
Ephesians 2:4
Ephesians 6:23
2 Thessalonians 3:5
Titus 3:4
1 John 3:1
1 John 4:9
1 John 4:10
Those are a start.... there are more, but do I really need to go on?
God is Love, God Loves..... without God, man would not understand what love is. Period.
{edit} See... I told you....
But you're wrong, the passages in Romans are specifically addressed to sinners. Not just Christians. "All have sinned and fall short of the glory of God". The passages in 1 John as is the entire book of 1 John are addressed to the world, through the church.
I could make the same inane argument about the scripture you have chosen. The examples in Psalms were written by David addressing specifically the Philistines. The enemy of Israel at the time. A people who CHOSE after being introduced to God not to follow Him.
You still have not proven your assertion and you still have not proven that God casts people into hell as opposed to people choosing their own destiny. God did give us free will as an example of His love.
God Loves, Go is Love. Still.... a nice try though. Let me know when you come up with a more convincing argument.
You have yet to prove your point.
Your original question asked "where is it in the Bible?" I have given you several example yet you chose to dsicount them. You are proving my point that you are arguing simply for the sake of argument and are only interested in trying to discount God. I pray for you. God does love everyone, including you. He does not desire for anyone to perish. All who seek Him shall find Him. But it is ultimately your choice.

2 Timothy 4:1-4 and 2 Peter 2 explain that a time will come when people will raise up false teachers in order to scratch their "itching ears." In other words, the audience will determine what the Preacher preaches and the teacher teaches; this, of course, is exactly the opposite of Paul's exhortation at 2 Tim. 4:2. This is certainly true of today, where people just want to feel good about their life situations, no matter how sinful they may still be. They want to hear that their guilty pleasures aren't really sins; they want to believe God is a grandfatherly old man in the sky who loves us all. As you pointed out, this is patently untrue. Scripture repeatedly tells us God despises the sin AND the sinner; however, following true repentance, God's wrath turns into unrestrained love.
Peace.
EDIT: "P L Gray," see Rev. 3:5: "He who overcomes shall be clothed in white garments, and I will not blot out his name from the Book of Life; but I will confess his name before My Father and before His angels." To "blot out" means to remove.

"For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begining Son, that whosoever believeth on Him should not die".
God does love everyone and wishes that none would die. But He does hate sin also, and being just and holy He will keep His word and turn unrepentant sinner away and send them to Hell.
The problems today is the church. They are so concerned about getting people into church that they are soft on sin so that they can attract more people. And because they do not want to offend anyone their churches are filled with sinners instead of saints!

I think God loves who he wants, not that he loves only Christians. Jesus plainly loved people who were not Jews and some of them were called sinners. So I think leave it up to God because otherwise it's all too easy to hate people by simply imagining them to be sinners who will be cursed by God. We do not know and I don't understand how that God can dislike something (as can we) is such a big deal. I recon he's bigger than the universe and can't just be called 'fire' or 'fear' or words to that effect, that makes him seem unfriendly

he who says he loves God but Hates his brother is a liar God does Hate sin and God does not Cast the sinners into Hell it is by their own freewill that they go if they have not repented and turned away from their sin if you are riding in the car with the devil don't blame good if you don't like were the car is going you don't even begin to know the mind of God and nobody else does either you can love or you can hate but we are responsible for our fate in how we live our life's now if God does not Love the world why does he keep giving us chances to do right why would he send his son to die for our sins because he loves us he know what your reaction will be to this answer before i send it we are to hate the sin love the sinner for we have all fallen short of the glory of God.

God loves all of the things he created. Man is the one who separates himself from God, not the other way around. If a sinner repents and follows the correct path then that sinner has brought himself back to God. God will not force himself on you...that would totally defeat the purpose of freewill. It is your choice to decide if you will remain loved or if you will continue to turn your back on him and leave him no alternative in the end. He has given you your lifetime to come to him on your own. After that you cannot expect any more chances.

John 3:16 is one of the most popular verses used by Christians to prove that God loves everybody. However, the verses you have listed prove that the Bible is inconsistent, and therefore not the word of a "perfect" God.

Apostle Paul said in Corinthians that it not the wishes of the father(God) for all to be condemn but to have them saved. God said to Adam and Eve to go and be fruitful, they became the people of God. As we see in many instance were God had used his Prophets to speak to his people regarding their sins (geat examples is Isaiah) and told them to repent and become his people again. Sin separates us from God. He hates sins but he does not hate his creations. He always seeks that we repent and come back to him. If he was to hate us, we won't be alive today (God forbid).
So when Jesus came to die for our sins, he became the new convent that we have to God. If we know him and confess him as our Lord and Savior, we become his children. But he loves us before and after we get to know him. If he didn't love us, many of us won't have gotten a chance to be Christina because of our old behavior and sins.

yes. God loves everyone no matter if we do something wrong he always gives us forgivness. He knows what you are going to do before you do it. He will still give you forgiveness.
The modern church is just trying to get more people to come God does not want us to do that except we still do he will forgive us for our mistakes.
