Hell refers to eternal death and this will happen to Satan and the wicked when Jesus comes the second time.

The second coming of Christ is the blessed hope of the church, the grand climax of the gospel. The Saviour's coming will be literal, personal, visible, and worldwide. When He returns, the righteous dead will be resurrected, and together with the righteous living will be glorified and taken to heaven, but the unrighteous will die. The almost complete fulfillment of most lines of prophecy, together with the present condition of the world, indicates that Christ's coming is imminent. The time of that event has not been revealed, and we are therefore exhorted to be ready at all times. (Titus 2:13; Heb. 9:28; John 14:1-3; Acts 1:9-11; Matt. 24:14; Rev. 1:7; Matt. 24:43, 44; 1 Thess. 4:13-18; 1 Cor. 15:51-54; 2 Thess. 1:7-10; 2:8; Rev. 14:14-20; 19:11-21; Matt. 24; Mark 13; Luke 21; 2 Tim. 3:1-5; 1 Thess. 5:1-6.)

The word “hell” is used 54 times in the Bible. It is translated from several different words with various meanings, as indicated below:

In the Old Testament:

31 times from the Hebrew “Sheol,” which means
“the grave”

In the New Testament:

10 times from the Greek “Hades,” which means
“the grave”
12 times from the Greek “Gehenna,” which means
“a place of burning”
1 time from the Greek “Tartarus,” which means
“a place of darkness"

Christ actually spoke more of hell than he did of heaven.

He also spoke of two roads, one broad and the other narrow. The entrance to the broad road was wide and many went that way. The entrance to the narrow road was strait and few found it, or walked that way. Desruction lay at the end of the broad road, and life, at the end of the narrow road. There it is baldly and bluntly.

The question, 'Are there few than that be saved?' is answered.

The answer in Christ's day was 'Yes.' It is equally true today. It is amazing how often majorities are wrong.

You have to accept Christ as your saviour and Lord, which will set you on the narrow road which leads to life.

Christ paid a very high price to purchase life for you, he is Faithful and True, and states that anyone who come's to him he will not turn away, 'That is the truely repentant heart'.

Hell is real, 'Today is the day for salvation' once you cross over to eternity you will either go to Hell or Heaven, you have to choose Christ while you are alive.

take care.

I am sure that hell exists. If you believe in God, you should know there is heaven as well as hell. Catholics go to church , praise the Lord and try to be good Christians to save their souls from eternal fire. We don't know who is going to be condemned but we know that there is a 'place' after death to where the condemned go...and it is not heaven...
If you want to imagine how it all looks like refer to the Bible or read Paradise Lost by John Milton, which is a literary fiction, but still draws a lot from the Bible.

Take care

Heaven and Hell exist.

Heaven is a place were you know that God loves you and you love God and nothing gets in the way of that perfect Love

Hell is the place were you have refused to be loved by God, you know what Gods love could be like, but have chosen not to
accept Gods love.

It is not about taking preventive measures but about being positive and finding a way to God through a real realtionship with Jesus

Give it up..... All religion is about making oneself feel better about dying!

There is no proof for any 'theory' for what happens when one dies. therefore you are taking a massive gamble believing in anything. What if you believe in God and Jesus but find out that you should have been worshipping Spamking and his Earthly vessel Boris Johnson? Boo hoo for you, you'll have to spend the rest of your life in a jar of worm infested custard.

The moral of my story is it's all ade up so don't believe any of it, it's just a waste of time.

You can never know what will happen when you die so deal with it when it happens, nothing you knowingly do in this life will change it.

I believe in Jehovah, Jesus, angels, Satan and the demons. I believe in heaven but I believe that hell is the common grave. The belief in hellfire torment is completely out of harmony with the Bible's description of a loving God. Sheol/Hades means the common grave. Jehovah created us all with freedom of choice to believe and obey or not. If we choose not to believe and obey, worst case scenario is eternity "sleeping" in a cold grave. The word Gehenna is used figuratively in the Bible. Fire represents eternal destruction and those that die the "second death" (after resurrection and judgment) stay in the grave eternally (as mentioned above as the worst case scenario). Tartarus is used only once in the Bible and it's referring to a holding place for the demons. They will also be subject to eternal destruction "the second death".

For me, I want to avoid all of the above. My hope is for everlasting life in paradise on earth. Just what Jehovah meant for all of us when he put Adam and Eve here (where would they be if they hadn't sinned? Hint: Not heaven).

Meh, I believe that there probably is no hell. Even if there is, I think it would be a pretty bad idea to only allow christians into heaven and send all others to hell. I just think that if I live out my life as a good person, it's likely that nothing bad would happen to me after death. Anyways, I really believe that a god wouldn't create people just to live out their lives and be sent to hell.

HELL yes! It would be too late. I would normally tell you to consider Islam but for some reason I get reported if I try and help people out by putting up some websites. Racists. But try to consider it anyway:)

Well, being an athiest, if I end up finding out that hell exists, it will be a price I have to pay for all the hard work and effort I put into this life. For my son, for me, and all the people I love.

Pretty pathetic destination if you ask me for living a human life.
