You don't want to out show the bride. If you wear a strapless which personally I think should be reserved for the bride and wedding party, you must wear a wrap or a cropped jacket to TONE it down. Nothing is more tacky than a guest who is dressed in something the bride should be wearing. If the bride is conservative/modest, I would get a different dress. Its a matter of respect.

Maybe not to the church--some churches (no matter what religion) have a ban on strapless or even sleeveless.
I was a bridesmaid in a wedding and we had "removable" sleeves--the dresses were gorgeous.
So yes, wear the strapless to the reception, but just don't look like a hoochie or try to out-do the bride (esp since it's your bf's momma!).

Good luck and have fun!

Hi. I bet the dress looks great on you, but a strapless might seem a little too flirty for a wedding. Anything in basic colors that covers you just a little more? Something a gf has got you could borrow?

wear something that will not pull the attention from the bride to you. The bride is supposed to be the most nicely dressed one on the wedding. Try to find out what his mum is going to wear, and then down-tone in your dress. This is the manner of a good taste and a simple gesture of courtesy.

Yes, but not in a chuch. You have to bring a wrap, a shawl or a bolero jacet for the ceremony.

IWear your strapless for the reception. Since is yoor bf's mother wedding, I suggest for you to be a bit conservative.

Good luck

When is the wedding, what month??? I think strapless would be beautiful, but maybe you don't want to go stapless if its in the COLD WINTER!!!! I would do two outfits, one for the ceremony and the strapless for the reception and dance. GOOD LUCK!

Yea you can wear a strapless dress as long as it is to revealing. Showing a little skin is never a bad thing

Since it is formal, you need to wear a gown. With a strapless, you will need something to cover yourself, like a stole or little jacket.

Want to know how to get your ex back? Change yourself. Don't worry about changing other people, worry about changing yourself. Go to https://tr.im/l9RIB

Once you do that then you can start to worry about getting back together with your ex, other wise you will find that you are fighting about all the same things and getting no where. Do what it takes and I promise things will work out in your favor.

The funny thing is I came to the realization that I had to change a little too late. After I was kicked out and after I was about to lose the only things that truly mattered to me - her love. A funny thing happens when we truly love someone and lose them. We do what ever it takes to get them back. For me I had to drop bad habits that had caused not only our relationship to sour but practically every other relationship I had had in the past. Not only with women, but with friends, co-workers, family, you name it.

Which is why I say to you as my ex at the time said to me, the only thing you can do is change yourself. Work on yourself and improve on the person that you already are. Drop the negative things in your life that don't belong there and you will see all of your relationships start to take off to new heights.

I think it depends on the dress. Strapless might be nice but make sure you are dressed appropriately. It also depends on your boyfriends mom. Is she cool? or is she very discrete and very proper??? Make sure you don't look stupid, you might wanna consult your boyfriend he might say i don't care which means she won't either but if he says something then it means she will care. :)) have fun.
