Hello. First off I know I need to just go see a doctor, but I dont have one and I cant afford to go to the ER everytime my heart feels like hurting. I'm hopeing someone here will know what I have or at least an idea so I can research it and treat it till I can afford a doctor.

Heres my problem... Every year or so my heart will start beating really hard and fast to the point it makes me whole body shake. If you were to look at me you would see me shhakin, thats how bad it does it. Also it feels like heartburn when it first starts then progresses to a very painful heartburn feeling. The pain is horendous. It usually only last like 4 -5 minutes but last night before I went to bed this happened and lasted about 2 hours ( the non stop heavy beating) the pain lasted all night till i woke up just now. I did call the hospital one time to explain this and she said it sounded like smething ( i dont remember the name, only that it was 3 letters to shorten the name ) Please only serious rep.

Whether you can afford it or not, you need to go to the emergency room. You cant be turned away from medical treatment just because you cant afford it. Something can be worked out, but most importantly, you need to be healthy.

I'd go to the ER anyway. If it is something that concerns you, take care of it. Your health comes first. You can't get a job and health care if you don't have your health.

Also, do you have anxiety? Are you a nervous person? Many mental things can trigger heart palpitations. Light headedness, heart pounding out of your chest for no reason, tingling in your arms and hands. This is normal for nervous people.

I would check with a doctor first and see what they say. They may order an EKG (tape wires up to your chest) and/or a ECG (Echo Cardio Gram - video of your hear). With these simple test, it can give you a good picture of your current situation.

Act immediately though.

Angina Pectoris? There are pill to control this sort of pain (prescription). It could be a heart murmur except with that the pain isn't bad unless you are under a lot of stress. You need to see a doctor. Explain your situation to him and they will arrange a payment plan that is affordable to you. I had to go to a dentist and even with insurance I still had to pay $860 and they put me on a payment plan until I can pay it off.

Proximal atrial tachycardia (PAT), superventricular tachycardia (SVT)....either way..u need to see a cardiologist. Especially since u r having pain with symptoms. Scrape some money together and offer payments, but go. An emergency room cannot refuse to treat u because of lack of insurance. Go to the er, u can make payments on the bills. U need to go.

I have a condition called Mitral Valve Prolapse. I sometimes experience a racing heart and mild chest pain. It sounds like your pain is more than just mild though. You really need to see a doctor to rule out more serious conditions. If you can't afford one check out some clinics that offer free care or reduced care depending upon your income. Please don't ignore this!
