Hi there, 1st question I would ask is Was the service indicator reset at the correct interval? and then I would check the service book for the correct service interval applicable to your car. Is it petrol or diesel? Renault has for sometime now had longer service intervals ie 24months and 18k miles petrol and diesel, as long as good quality engine oil is used usually 10w40 semi synth. It is important with todays car engines that proper servicing is carried out at the correct intervals.
Even phoning your local Renault dealer would help as they really should be acting as an ambassador for Renault UK

Snowy...Yes, yes,yes...Depending on the age, if new...Definately..As the motor is breaking in, shaving's, filing's etc...If older, it gets dirtier as carbon is washed into the oil...Dirty oil is very hard on the entire internal working part's and affect's gas mileage too...

Change your oil every 3 to 5 thousand miles, depending on the type of driving...Follow the manufacture's specs...You'll have a lot less probs in the future....Do It Now....Yuke
