Again I don't see what this question has to do with immigration, but I will indulge you.If some one is my boyfriend and he called me his homie,I would think he was just my friend and confidant, not a boy friend. There's nothing wrong at all in being called someones homie but I wouldn't want my boyfriend to call me that.Unless he called me his "homie baby".

well it depends on how he used the word "homie"....if it was just the two of you then it was no disrespect but if you were on the phone with him and he seemed to be around someone then he may be trying to conceal your identity from someone else. THATS when I would become a lil offended. Homie is slang for "Homeboy" or "Homegirl", which also translates into "FRIEND".

I don't know even 1 woman who likes to be called those names unless it's their own sweetheart. I hated it when I was in middle school, high school, and it's not allowed in College or the student could slap him with a sexual harassment suit...esp if other girls in his class feel the same way. Also, if he were a loving boy friend he would stop just because it bothers you. Would he like to be called "Darlin" or "Cutey" or "Honey" ?

Homie is like calling you a friend...its a slang

Someone you grew up with, friend or not, and someone with whom you have shared any number of bonding experiences at home, in school, at work, or in any close-knit atmosphere. Homie means you have lived in the same area as this person for a significant amount of time in your life, but the term is appropriately used by those friends who truly feel comfortable referring to each other with such respect. It isn't a word that should be taken advantage of, because a person recognizes who is a friend and who isn't.

It's a slang word that means he trust you a lot and that you're his home girl. If you don't believe me, why don't you look it up in the dictionary!

Maybe he meant to say, "homely"?

Because what this has to do with politics and government, I have no idea. Maybe you should take it to the relationship forum?
