The antibiotics take 2 to 3 days to start working. If you have an infection you have to finish all your medication first. Try to take some Motrin and use a warm heating pad on your ear. My ear hurts when I have a tooth ache. Then call the dentist to see if they want to remove wisdom teeth.

Good luck I hope you feel better soon.Ear ache and tooth pain are the worst!!

Normal time it takes is 48 hours for the penacillin to take affect. Keep up with pain medicine and if it does not work call your dentist back. The penacillin maynot be taking care of that infection and you may need something else.
Good luck

Sometimes a toothache effects our ears, especially a wisdom tooth. Once you start antibiotics, it takes at least 36 to 48 hours before it will show signs of improvement. You need to complete the antibiotics so that the infection is cleared up before going back to the dentist and getting that tooth extracted or what ever treatment they are planning on doing.

All this is because the nerves and wisdom teeth are so close to the internal auditory canal, that you get the refereed pain.

I've been having this problem for 11 months now, the doctor kept saying it was an ear infection and prescribing antibiotics, then i went to my dentist and he confirmed it was my wisdom tooth and it needed to come out, go back to your dentist and ask for an x-ray then he will tell you if it needs to come out, good luck

You must get that tooth taken out because that pain will not go away until you do. The nerves that run from that area to your ear are being affected by the tooth. Once the tooth is out you will start feeling better.

Either go back to the dentist, or get a second opinion from another dentist.

Sounds to me as if you need to see your deintist. It is possible you need it pulled. It is not uncommon for your ear to bug you when you have something wrong with your tooth.
