I'm not apart of any particular faith, but for some reason I want my daughter to experience many types of things while she is young. Not just religion, but I have to start somewhere.
Is it inappropriate to take a child of this age into a church. I'm worried she will disrupt people who are there to pray etc.

Sounds like the story when the children came to Jesus and the disciples told them to go away, thinking that they were insignificant and would disrupt Jesus teaching. Jesus rebuked the disciples and said, suffer the little children to come unto me and forbid them not. God loves children just as much and at my church, the Seventh Day Adventist church they usually have a children section where they tell them Bible stories with fun graphics and teach them little Biblical songs too.

It is never too young to experience things. Take her but sit at the end of a row so that if she starts getting wrestless you can take her out without disturbing others. Most Churches have a creche or Sunday school where the little ones go for at least the first half of the service then they let them in for the last hymn or something. An hour (or more) is along time to sit quietly at any age, let alone at the age of 3.

IMO
It would terribly worng of you to NOT take this child to church. She should have been there 3 years ago.
Don;t worry about disrupting, there are classes, nurseries, etc.
Personally, I would rather see a crying child in the sanctuary DURING a service than see that child left at home.
Many people do not take their children to church at all, They let the world teach them thru terrible violent video games, bad movies, even bad TV, not much supervision , staying out all night,,,,and on and on and on...
I believe a person needs thee good influence to offest all the bad influence and most kids do not get the good influence.
Out society shows this too
Kids killing kids in schools
teen pregnancy at an all time high
this list can go on for a long time too......but I hope you get my message......
Take the child to learn about Jesus and ingnore the nay sayers.......
Good luck
And you have a great life....:-)

Most Church's have nurserys for children up to age 3. Often at that age they can sit through the service for a little while, then if "rowdy" can go visit the nursery. Our Church also has a preschool Sunday school class, which is a lot of fun for them.

Well, at a certain age, if the child can walk around and stuff, they can go to Children's Liturgy, which we have at our church. That's a good learning experience for kids.

It is a great age to take her to church. I attend a Free Will Baptist Church and we have a childrens Sunday School Class for all ages from nursery to teens. Please take her to the same church for serveral time to allow her to get to know the teachers and her classmates. She will love to go to church.

Perfectly fine. Some churches offer a "kiddie mass" geared towards children to keep them occupied. Check with your local churches to see if they have this.

Sunday school might be a better idea, Unless she can sit quietly for an hour.

I think she's a bit too young! Take her when she's four! Sunday school is your best bet!

Take her. If she becomes disruptive (a la temper tantrum) then take her out.
