get really good filling (if you want to use canned just make sure you get the plain, unseasoned kind). You can also get pre-made pastry to make it go easier
Great recipe:
1 (9 inch) unbaked deep dish pie shells
2 1/2 cups pumpkin puree
1 (10 ounce) can sweetened condensed milk
2 large eggs
1 teaspoon cinnamon
1/2 teaspoon ginger
1/2 teaspoon nutmeg
Preheat the oven to 425°F.
In a large bowl combine the pumpkin puree, condensed milk, eggs, cinnamon, ginger and nutmeg.
Mix well and turn into the crust.
Bake 15 minutes; reduce the oven temperature to 350° and bake another 35 to 40 minutes or until a knife inserted 1-inch from the edge comes out clean.
Cool before cutting.
Garnish with whipped cream.
Refrigerate leftovers.
