She needs to go to the doctor. My older sister went for years having a period every two to three months never said a thing she finally went to the doctor and they found a cyst as large as a mans head on one of her ovaries and another one forming on the other one. Thank God they were not cancer. They ended up removing all her female parts but she now is not in pain.

this is called secondary amenorrhea, as u mentionned the most common cause is pregnancy. After confirming that the women is not pregnant u should suspect HYPOTHYROIDISM (go check for free T4 and TSH). If she s not hypothyroid u should check prolactin level.
high prolactin cause amenorrhea. prolactin may be elevated because of
!-medication(is she taking antidepressant or antipsychotic?)

2 pituitary adenoma .do MRI or CT brain

----------------------------------------------------------------------------
there are other causes:
*stress or anxiety( due to grief reaction from losing her first baby)
*ashermann syndrome(u didn t clarify the circumstances of loss of first baby) but the absence of menses may be related to fibrosis of uterus from the previous operation
