I have some dos and don't.
Avoid cheese of any type.
Add almonds to your diet.
Add some salmon to your diet
Make sure your getting all of your vitiams.
Try to spend some time outside. When the sun is out. I know it's tough in the cold weather. However the vitiam D from the sun does help your skin.
when inside don't have your back covered if you can help it allow your skin to breathe.
Get some european mineral water and wash your face with it.
To help generate your skin
Get some corse seasalt in the salt mill
Neem oil (can be found at organic grocery stores)
Grind a little bit of the salt into a small dish.
Add a couple of drops of the Neem oil
So all the salt get oil on it. Can be very thick. Don't need a lot.
Wet your face with warm water ( Opens the pores)
The rub the mixure you just made all over your face. Don't touch the eyes or lips (not acne pro area). Then rinse it off.
Then get some yogurt. The plain kind. It has to be plain yogurt cause of the Cultures.
Apply generously over your face.
Let stand for 5-10 minutes.
Then rinse.
I know the battle your facing. With my own experience not only as a teenager but as an adult. Fighting not only acne but Roseace as well. I have tried these things they have worked for me to the point where I don't even need any medication for it.
Was so bad was on perscription oral and ointment.
Hope this helps you.

There aren't any great home remedies out there that I am aware of...and I have tried a lot of things.

I would talk to your mom about the problem and let her know how it is affecting you.

There are great products out there to help fix the issue--some prescribed by doctors, some not.

There is Proactiv, which didn't work for me but has worked for lots of others. Teens seem to respond to it quite well.

I use Murad, which seems to have really helped. I hardly break out at all now.

If over the counter stuff does not work, there is always Retin-A (which I tried and didn't like...made my skin too sensitive) and Accutane, which is an oral pill that helps lots of people.

Again, think you need to talk with your mom. This is part of growing up, but it can scar your skin permanently if not treated.

If it's really bothering you, I would suggest going to the doctor. They can either give you something for it there and then, or they will refer you to a dermatologist.

I'm 17 and I too suffer from bad acne, but for me it's just on my face. I was given oral antibiotics and a topical cream, and you'll probably find you're given something similar. It's stronger than anything you can get off the shelf, and it's got chemicals that will help. Because seriously, NOTHING will get rid of true acne except medication - i've tried it all, not wearing make-up, wearing special make-up, clarins, clinique - you name it!

I know it can really mess up your confidence, too, so it's far better to just get it sorted.

The treatments can take up to 8wks to show an improvement, but you've just got to be patient with them, like anything.

Good luck hon,
Emma

my sister had this when we were in school.. she actually went to the doctor, and he gave her a perscription to take, and it helped her clear up.. I would also recomend Acne Treatment Gel - Mary Kay, it works wonders and its $7.00 ( my other sister loves it! and it really helps he with trouble spots, she looks great!)

Also, if you can, go tanning, not more than maybe 1 or 2 times a week (too much tanning is not good for you!)... its cold here so thats why i say the tanner, but if you are in a warm climate, use the great outdoors, its free! sun exposure helps skin and can dry it up a little...!

also, drink the recomended 8 - 8oz. of water a day, it will flush your system and wash out any toxins that your body tries to get rid of through your sweat/poors.

try to stop drinking soda as much as possible, and lean off of greasy/fatty foods, if you don't already..

get regular exercise, this helps your body build up better resistence to bacteria, makes you look and feel great, and gets your body working better!

I hope these helped?!

This site promises to help cure Acne in 3 days. I haven't suffered from acne since I was a teen, so I can't talk about this product from personal experience. I'm sure there are a variety of techniques you can use. Medicine, diet, sanitary, etc.

There are many cheap and effective home remedies for acne. Tomato slices, turmeric, papaya juices and home made face packs will treat existing pimples and prevent further problems. More remedies at http://www.wellnesstalk.org/acne.html
