This question can be told but can never be understood unless u are the person who feels it. Nothing or no one can come b/n a mother and a child or children. It's just the way it is, most of the time mom is always right!!!!!!!!!!! She's there in a way no father ever could be no matter how good u are or how hard u try. I give u props for being a good father, most of us out there don't have that, just keep loving ur kids and don't ever turn ur back, no matter how hard it gets it will always get better!!!!!!!!!!!!!! They love you they just show it to u in a different way!!!!!!!!!

You are the "provider" figure and the mother is the "care giver". It is a natural thing for a childs bond to be greater towards the mother if she is the focal point of the child rearing. Don't forget it's the woman who carries the child and it's the woman who endures the horrible pain of child birth and it's the mother who is the most nurturing. It's unfortunate that you and your wife get your children involved in your personal problems anyway. That something that should be avoided completely unless the action DIRECTLY effects them.

Well, children will ALWAYS have a closer bond to mother than dad unless mother just sucks at motherhood! I believe that children have a bond with their moms that no one can understand nor figure out It's all about those 9 months that they share exclusively with each other before they even meet! That's why mothers will more than likely stick by their children in whatever life decisions they make more so than fathers will!

I am answering this from my experience only. I am one of 4 siblings, and actually we were totally opposite .My father passed away 3 years ago and I don't think we ever went against him to side with our mother. He was a strong upstanding dedicated father as where our mother was always gone and running around on him. I totally think it depends on the situation and where the true bond is, as adults your children realize who they have that true connection with. Quit spoiling them, let them realize just exactly what you do for them.Ask them why they go against you.If they are adults they should realize problems between you and your wife are that.(between you and your wife).

cos your wife spends more time with them thus the bond is stronger. my advise, be more assertive to your wife and solve problems with her when the kids are not around dude,. She maybe 'using' them as armour against you. i really empathise with you. you sound like a nice guy. and nice guys most oftenly get wives like that... sigh. i believe you should go for a short trip by yourself to relax.

when you talk to them about it, what do they say?
maybe you should ask your wife what you're doing so that this happens, and what you can do in the future to stregnthen the bond with your kids.
maybe take them all out for dinner, fun games, and relax and don't be opinionated about anything.

They probably see the mother as the weaker sex. So they want to help her.
