That's impossible to quantify at the present. We'd have to poll millions of people around the globe just to get a reasonable demographic. What's more, everyone really should believe in evolution, and anyone who does not believe in evolution is clearly ignoring the facts. Evolution is a fact, not a possibility, and not just a theory. Whether or not it conflicts with Christianity's premise is yet to be determined, and I really could not care less. Evolution isn't a religious doctrine, it's a scientific analysis.

Interesting how a question regarding evolution (still a 'theory' by the way, as it cannot be proved), would be in the 'religion and spirituality' section? Are you honestly seeking an answer, or stirring the athiests up?
However, you would find that most of the world, including many members of the mainstream Christian churches do believe in evolution.
If.... however, you were to ask how many have enough knowledge of the foundation of either belief to be able to make an 'informed' judgement, I should say the answer is very few!
Studying Darwins work (with notes by Leakey) left me (at that time... an ardent evolutionist) with WAY more questions than answers. A study of the OTHER book answered my questions, thank God!

Evolution is a "theory"
Gravity is a "theory"
Electricity is a "theory"
Do you doubt your toaster will function when you plug it in?
Think the apple will fall up this time?
God is not a theory. Not provable by scientific method. Which one is more reasonable to believe in?
Choose reality!
I would like to think that 80% of people accept the validity of evolution. I am in the Bible Belt, so it doesn't seem possible that the percentage is that high, but I hope reason prevails throughout the world!

I don't know..but you have to be kinda stupid to believe everything was an accident. All of everything was created by GOD. And for the world's population, about 1-2 billion i think, so perhaps 18%-33% (Unfortunately)

You don't choose to "believe" in evolution.
Belief is only need for theories based on faith and a really ancient text.
Either you accept evolution, or you can choose not to and live in the fairy tale of yours. You don't have the option to believe it.
