Do you think it's an ideal weight or she's fat?

I'm 25 years old, 5'6" and 135 lbs. I wear a size 4. So no, 5'7" and 140 lbs is not fat! The formula for ideal weight is: at 5', you should weigh 100 lbs, for every inch you are above 5', add 5 lbs. +/- 5 lbs.

Okay, so I re-read your question. I'm thinking that you're NOT talking about yourself! "a girl"... "her early twenties"... "or she's fat?" I'm thinking that YOU think she's fat, but she doesn't. If that's the case, then I wouldn't go there with her.
A 140 lb. woman who's 5'7" tall is not fat! It's not a stick either, but there has to be some middle ground. Not everyone is built the same. 140 pounds might look good on one woman and another woman won't be able to carry that much weight.
Thankfully, it's not my call. And if you're not the girl in her early twenties, it's not your call either.

Yeah, that is fine. She needs to check her body fat percentage though. To be healthy, it should be no more than 30% if she is in her early 20's, and idealy below 25% would be excellent. HTH : )

jump up and down naked in front of a mirror. if stuff is bouncing that shouldn't be, then do some stregnth training.

i think 140 is perfect for 5'7", so i hope you're not stressing over this one.

You're probably a bit chubby. You're okay though. I'd work on losing 15-20 lbs though, if that were my height/weight.

I don't think that's fat. I would try not to gain anymore weight from there, however.

You are okay but the amber light is on. Weight can sneak up on you.
