OK, I'm not a Christan. But I WAS. I am a convert to Islam. Being totally honest here, I will say some Muslims DO convert. But they are usually poor, uneducated Muslims who are paid (yes, REALLY) to convert by missionaries with promises to educated their children for free etc. They are also usually NON-Arabs. I mention this because although Arab Muslims may stray from Islam, its usually just to be non-religious, they don't BECOME Christians. Christianity has nothing to offer Muslims. There has NEVER in history been a Muslim scholar of Islam that converted to Christianity, however there have been countless conversions from Christian priests, bishops, canons, reverends, & vicars.

Muslims are converting to Christianity all the time, but many of them have to suffer as a result. If you want to know more about this go to www.righttojustice.org.
To answer your question directly. I am a Catholic and I live in an area of Kenya which is about 60 p. c. Muslim. One man and his entire family recently became Christians and were baptised in the Catholic church. Incidently, some time after the change a group of the Muslim elders came to his house and told him that if he and his family did not return and embrace Islam again, his house would be burnt. He told them that if they came to burn his house down he would lock himself and his family inside and they would have to burn his family as well. They went away and have not, thank God, attempted to carry out their threat. This may be because muslims have only a smally majority, but in countries which are predominantly muslim, Christians really suffer.
This was about 2 years ago and the family has not become disillusioned with the church. In fact, the teenage daughter is one of the most active girls in the parish.

There is a whole website (link below) with testimonies of Muslims who have converted to Christianity. And there was also that guy who had to emigrate out of Afghanistan (Abdul Rahmen?) because otherwise they were going to put him to death for converting from Islam to Christianity.

For those doubting one who really has studied his Muslim faith can convert to Christianity, here's the testimony of someone from Saudi Arabia who memorized the Quran by the time he was 12 years old, but who converted nonetheless. He also provides his Email for further contact (also note, he was not poor):

.
As to knowing someone personally, I had a college class with a Muslim woman who had converted to Christianity.

Nope, because theyre in the circle of Islam and know what is true and false in Islam. Theyre not watching media and making comments about Islam, they live it and see how peaceful is being a Muslim. That would make no sense to become a Christian or something else after tasted Islam.

No, but I know many Catholics and Christians who've become Jews. They are all surprised to find that not only can they "question", they are encouraged to question!
