I would give her a gift voucher to have a massage or have manicure mums love these things and you know that making something expresses your love alot better than buying, paint a stone or rock {whatever you would like to call it}with her name on it and a sweet little verse like i can find another lover and i can find another friend but i will never find another mother that i will love till the end ,on the back and laquer it and put it in a pot plant for her she will just treasure that !!!!!

I ordered for my mum a nice bouquet of flowers when it was her 51st birthday last year and have it delivered to our house when she is alone at home. She nagged at me as she said its a waste of money, but i knoe very well she loves it.
Prove- she still keep the flowers even thou it has dried long time ago. =)

I just bought my mum chocolates from hotel chocolat on the web and she was delighted. She's been dropping hints all year since her last birthday about these chocolates. They are organic and fairtrade as well!

You could get her some of her favourite perfume. Or why not get her a small present like a necklace or bracelet and also take her out for lunch or for dinner

there are some really reasonable Pamper days available - this gives her a bit of time all to herself (she deserves it) and can refresh her - try the sites below for ideas includes one where she can have friends over to have the pamper day with.
